A couple screws on the top of the back of the unit, then remove the front of the unit, there is a few more screws holding it together. You should be able to pry part of the top off and then be able to see the other screws. Also open the door and remove the screws holding it on. once the entire front is off, you should have access to the drum inside. take the belt off the pulley and remember how it goes on for reinstall later, then pull drum out.

1. Open the small access door in front of the dryer and start the heat cycle. The ignitor must glow a bright orange so that it is hot enough to light the gas. If there is no orange glow, then the ignior needs replacement.
2. If it glows then cuts off, then glows, again and cuts off, the thermocouple sensor wire is out of position. It needs to be very, very close to the ignitor. This thermocouple sends a temperature signal when it senses that the ignitor is hot enough to ignite the gas. Unplug the dryer. Re-position the thermocouple wire mount so that the thermocouple wire is almost touching the ignitor. You may also "bend" the wire. Plug power back on and heat.
3. If it still does not heat, then the automatic gas valve that is controlled by the thermocouple sending unit is broken. The automatic gas valve cannot be safely "fixed" and must be replaced.
Hope it's just the thermocouple wire.

go to sears.com, click on parts and service upper right corner, click on parts, enter your model number it will list a parts breakdown/schematic this wy u can determine whhich parts are removable and how its put togetherr and also get part numbers and prices, shop around though prices might seem low but they get you on the shipping check any local appliances stores if any are avaialbe in your area....

I persoanlly would check the belt, the rollers, or an idler pulley,, also maybe any glides or seals if your model has any........replace any defective parts you find hope this helps good day let me know whut u find

Is the plastic locater lug on the door that makes contact with the switch... intact and making breaking the switch properly?Also check the switch mechanism to see if it is functioning correctly This could be your problem if you say everything works ok. when you part the wires of the switch.you may need to replace one or the other or both if you can remove the door switch take it to a shop that sells parts and ask them to confirm it is working.You could also ask if you could see a plastic lug off the door then you will know if that could be faulty also?Best of luck!

You probably have a bad door switch. When the door is open, the switch should turn on the light. When the door is closed, the switch should allow the dryer to start.

Some item may have gotten between the drum that rotates and the housing and during the rolling of the drum this item may be heating up from the friction. Check closely to see if you can find anything rubbing on the drum.
