I had contacted Canon to resolve my problem.
Through the technician I am informed that the printer has to be sent back for service as
one of the 4 pins on print-head print has dropped off leaving only 3pins that is why the error code U043 simply occur which is why replacing another new ink cartridge does not resolve the issue.
I have understand from him that:-
- Most of the time when error code flash up, usually are due to the unique feature that Canon has build on the ink cartridges not properly done which resulted to be faulty. Canon's purpose is to prevent the usage of 3rd party ink cartridges. Of course this causes inconvenient to users, but if users are not using 3rd party ink cartridges, once detected is Canon's ink cartridge issue, do contact Canon, they will provide house call for 1 to 1 exchange for the ink cartridge.
- Other times if by replacing new ink cartridge the problem for error code still occurs, it might be the pin on the print-head has lost the alighting, this will require for Canon to service to alight back the pin on print-head in order for the printer to operate smoothly again.
- If your problem is like mine, inputting the ink cartridge into the wrong slot, well I guess only have to contact Canon as the printer's components used seem to be highly sensitive, by input the wrong slot would have caused scatches on the pin, well it is better to have the ink cartridge remove by the expert than to DIY. (Maybe check with your own nearby technician if by any lucks they can help to rescue your printer, which I hope Canon does not have further enhancement on their printer with other Unique features to prevent users from using 3rd party technical support.)
I hope the above information will help all the troubled Canon printer users as I notice from previous search on this website, there are other users having problem like ink cartridge is only partial used, but error code appear to check ink cartridge, maybe trying to taking out and putting back, it works sometime and problem occurs again, by replace a new ink cartridge will help as the partial used one would be faulty already, and do call up Canon to report the issue and they will exchange a new ink cartridge for the faulty partial used cartridge.
