Canon Pixma MP500 error

ok I figured out what to do. Open the over take out all your ink cartriages. Then flip the print head level on the left hand side up and squeeze the top of the print head (where all your ink sits on) and lift it up. You may want to blow off any dust that may be in there and put the peint head back and replace al your ink put the level down and you should be good to go if not you may have to replace the head.

Canon Pixma MP530 All-In-One

I had contacted Canon to resolve my problem.

Through the technician I am informed that the printer has to be sent back for service as one of the 4 pins on print-head print has dropped off leaving only 3pins that is why the error code U043 simply occur which is why replacing another new ink cartridge does not resolve the issue.

I have understand from him that:-
  1. Most of the time when error code flash up, usually are due to the unique feature that Canon has build on the ink cartridges not properly done which resulted to be faulty. Canon's purpose is to prevent the usage of 3rd party ink cartridges. Of course this causes inconvenient to users, but if users are not using 3rd party ink cartridges, once detected is Canon's ink cartridge issue, do contact Canon, they will provide house call for 1 to 1 exchange for the ink cartridge.
  2. Other times if by replacing new ink cartridge the problem for error code still occurs, it might be the pin on the print-head has lost the alighting, this will require for Canon to service to alight back the pin on print-head in order for the printer to operate smoothly again.
  3. If your problem is like mine, inputting the ink cartridge into the wrong slot, well I guess only have to contact Canon as the printer's components used seem to be highly sensitive, by input the wrong slot would have caused scatches on the pin, well it is better to have the ink cartridge remove by the expert than to DIY. (Maybe check with your own nearby technician if by any lucks they can help to rescue your printer, which I hope Canon does not have further enhancement on their printer with other Unique features to prevent users from using 3rd party technical support.)
I hope the above information will help all the troubled Canon printer users as I notice from previous search on this website, there are other users having problem like ink cartridge is only partial used, but error code appear to check ink cartridge, maybe trying to taking out and putting back, it works sometime and problem occurs again, by replace a new ink cartridge will help as the partial used one would be faulty already, and do call up Canon to report the issue and they will exchange a new ink cartridge for the faulty partial used cartridge.

Cannot install Easy-PhotoPrint EX for Windows Ver 3.2

I think Canon is abandoning EZ photo Print and is now offering EZ Photo Print EX.
Basically same program but more options. You can try that.
If it not available from your model try to get it from a newer model.
I think you are talking about a MP450 .

Dull color

Might have to check the ink cartridge/toner.if need replacing pleas do so.If you still have the same problem than check your printer setting for color. It might be tuned in to the dull mode. if there is a default button on the settings than its best to activate that because that's the factory setting for the printer.Good luck.G.

My Imac was not sleeping and I figured out it was

Hi WendyDid you just remove the printer from the printer prefs window or did you go down into folders and stuff?Somethimes the no-sleep thing is cause by the software that monitors scanner buttons rather than printers. All you need to do to reinstall your printer is :-1. Make sure it is connected.2. Go to Print & Fax prefs in system Preferences.3. click on the + sign just above the padlock.4. Wait for a moment or two while the computer locates the printer.5. Highlight the printer's name once it appears, then wait a while.6. The computer will locate the driver and once the 2 panels fill themselves in complete the installation by clicking on whatever the button is that confirms the task.7. That should be it.Quite often you can just do a print job and the computer will automatically identify the printer and load the driver. This happens with lots of Canon printers.Post back how you get on.4.

Canon pixma all in one mp500 error code 6A00

6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.
Manually move the print head left and right, and turn the printer on/off. I would also inspect the rollers for ANY debris... it can often be fixed by using "canned air" and blowing the interior out completely.

Fix a 5200 error on

Hi there,

This error message indicates that the print head temperature has exceeded its limit. It's a fail-safe feature of the printer to prevent the print head from burning.

When the print head temperature falls, the error should automatically cleared. So just plug the printer from the power line and let it cool for 30 minutes. Drain the remaining flea power before you turn it on. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds while the printer is plugged off the main. Then let it rest for 30 minutes before turning it on again.

Hope this helps.

Can not get the MP510

Please make sure you have all your printer connections correct, USB and or Network cables are plugged in and correctly configured. Then check your drivers and software, make sure they are updated and your full drivers and software packages are completely installed. Once that is complete, you may have to restart your computer in the process, open up your printer suit, and try to run a scan through, hopefully this will correct your problem and your scan will process. If there are any problems or the scanner is still not working at that point, please post back and we can troubleshoot from there!
