Dear Sir,
We have one IBM x206 8482 I8S Serer. We
You have a compatibility issue as per your comments and you have no choice but to use the components and operating system that will work with each other. Without drivers you are in deep doo doo and there is no forcing the issue.
How to load IBM Xseries 206 from USB
expand the "Hard Drive" option under the Boot Sequence.
Then you should be able to move the USB drive up above as primary hard drive, which then allowes to boot from the USB flash drive.
No display and not functioning
I suggest that you clear hard drive and reformat it,again. Most of the time, booting from a floppy or optical drive, does the job satisfatorilly.I will suggest leaving your BIOS settings in their default state and make your adjustments when everything is up and running.

206m has no power with a known good power supply
Do you have power getting to the power supply? Use a volt-meter to check current to the PSU. If that is good, then power on the PSU and check voltages at each of the connection. If you are getting power to the connections then you have a faulty motherboard.
No audio
Here are some troubleshooting tips for you:

Attempting to upgrade xSeries 206
Hello,
this is as a result of memory error. The memory is either not compatible with your computer, or maybe you did not fix the memory well which is not making the computer not see the memory.
Cpu beeps most times if a memory is not present or not compatible with a the CPU.
Use a brush to clean or dust off the memory slot and try again. You can borrow a memory from your friend and test it with our cpu.
But I believe the memory you want to upgrade is not compatible with your CPU.
Good luck.
IBM eServer xSeries 206 Automatically torn off
Could be power supply failure. They have cheap power supply testers on eBay and at local computer retailers. They also have Motherboard testers. If you changed anything with the system you can't expect people to know so please specify what it was you changed and everything you've changed. If you went from an onboard video card to an add-in graphics card, you will most likely have to enable the card in BIOS/Setup. Do not change anything is this area unless you know what you are doing. You can completely fry components and/or start a fire. A PC case contains many fire accelerants so changing voltages or anything that remotely resembles overclocking is not only pointless, but needs to be done with complete awareness of what it is you are changing and what the result of performing the action will be.

161 bad cmos battery
the brand will not matter as long as the battery is the same value. There is one thing need to reset the cmos error message, which is done by unplugging a small jumper located around the cmos battery if you can find the manual for the PC online it will show you the jumpers (which are really small connectors on the motherboard ) needed to be unplugged but reinstalled the way they where before waiting a good 10 seconds after the jumpers are removed should fix the problem
IBM xSeries 3550 M3. One fan has failed. While waiting for a replacement can I stop the server from shutting down automatically?
Assuming that this is resolved as it appears to be an old, time-sensitive issue.
Although I would say that what you're asking would have been a design choice on IBM's part. The BMC would dictate fan curve and if one of the fans is not spinning at the minimal RPM - as specified in that fan curve - then it would obviously shut the system down to protect it from heat damage.
You may be able to adjust this using various commands in the BMC but I am not familiar with IBM's hardware. (Which is likely different in the same way that Dell's iDRAC differs from HP's iLO, etc.)
I'd say it's unlikely either way.

I would check the firmware/bios as these had a known issue.
Check with IBM for the latest firmware and BIOS.
Update me if this does not resolve the problem.
Howto clear log on server ibm
Hi,
Server is model is not mentioned.
You can clear logs by this way..
1: Get into BIOS and there you could see server logs. Clear those logs
2: Get into IMM and you can find logs there. Clear those logs (This is applicable to servers with IMM and Uefi firmwares)
3: Get into BIOS and find out IPMI logs. Its under Advanced settings.
Clear those (This is applicable for older x series machines with BIOS firmwares)
Thanks
