Iam having IBM 6221 13A

you did not say dual port GPU card nor using 2x GPU cards. so must be DAISY CHAINED Display card, there, NOT TOLD IT. on all PCs on earth , (NO OS told at all why?) the correct software drivers for the GPU card must be loaded from the card makers site if no card then from Lenovo. yes horz = DP? daisy chained. mon to mon link. you meant IntelliStation Z Pro Type 6221 (made 2004, 14 years ago) that>? nobody knows what is inside any desktop (added) for sure GPU cards 12 makers, + and vast models. if all IBM is it? the card choices are listed in the free IBM manual Video adapter: Accelerated graphics port (AGP) Pro 50 video with one of the following: v Matrox Millennium G450 (DVI-I) 4X with 32 MB double-data-rate (DDR) synchronous dynamic random access memory (SDRAM) video memory and a single DVI-I or dual analog connectors (or dual VGA monitor capability with the pigtail cable that came with the system) v NVIDIA Quadro4 NVS 280 (LFH-60), AGP 8X, with 64 MB DDR SDRAM video memory and dual analog connectors (or dual digital monitor capability with the purchase of an additional pigtail cable) v NVIDIA Quadro4 980XGL (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with 128 MB DDR SDRAM video memory and dual DVI-I connectors v NVIDIA Quadro FX 1000 (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with 128 MB DDR2 SDRAM video memory with dual DVI-I connectors v NVIDIA Quadro FX 1100 (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with 128 MB DDR SDRAM video memory with dual DVI-I connecctors v NVIDIA Quadro FX 3000 (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with 256 MB DDR SDRAM video memory with dual DVI-I connectors v 3Dlabs Wildcat4 7110 (DVI-I), AGP 8X, with 128 MB texture buffer DDR SDRAM video memory and 128 MB frame buffer video memory, and dual DVI-I connectors. only Display port allows daisy chaining monitors but there is no such card from IBM in 2004 worst of all AGP is dead technology. how you get DP here? we can not see back of your PC nor what is inside and desktops can be expanded greatly , no limits. really. if savvy worst of all this relic has not one, PCI-express slot. so only old relic cards fit. free https://www.manualslib.com/manual/755517/Ibm-Intellistation-Z-Pro-6221.html?page=25&term=pci&selected=1#manual good luck

With a IBM 6223 can I mix sata and scsi drives in

Yes. you can use any mixture of different interfaces a PC. As long as you have the appropriate controller interface to plug the drive into, and your power supply is big enough to support the drive(s) you're using, there should not be a problem.

The only caveat is that if you want to boot from a drive type that is not part of the PC bios, this may not work.

Such as if the bios is so old that it only has IDE and you plug in a SATA or SCSI adapter, it may take some fiddling to make it boot properly. Many interface adapters have their own bios, and sometimes things are not as compatible as they should be.

Hi..just tried an install of

If this is your card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102829
It has a 2.0 x 16 slot requirement that may not be compatible with your system. If this is your prior card:
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Nvidia-980XGL-128MB-Quadro4-DVI-VCQ4980XGL-Video-Card-Refurbished/5539014/product.html
It is AGP 8x, which i a totlally different setup. I looked up your system and it has AGP 8X slot:
http://www.bing.com/shopping/ibm-intellistation-z-pro-6221-xeon-2-8-ghz/specs/71BB88F57E2979DCBF33?q=ibm+z+pro+6221&lpq=ibm%20z%20pro%206221&FORM=HURE
If this is your card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125281
It would work, providing you have 400w power supply and a 6 pin connector to hook up.
The only way I can clarify what you've got and whether it's actually compatible, I need the make and model number of the card you have. You can see there are alot of different options.
Note: after looking again at the specs for you system, it comes with a 425w power supply. If you have your case open look at your power supply and it should say on it what the supply is.

Upgrade Intellistation Z Pro 6121 w11 to 64bit Xeon Processors

It helps if you give the right specification - the W11 is the 6221, not the non-existent 6121.
You have 2 x 2.4 Xeon in a Socket 604 package. The only CPUs these could be are the Tigerton - it certainly does support 64-bit operation, as well as VT.
You have little choice in processors - Tulsa, Tigerton and Dunnington.
The Tigerton is a little ripper! 2 x 4MB on-die cache, 1066 internal FSB, wide voltage range and low power consumption (80W).
http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=30779
You have a 4 processor 64-bit box - if it isn't poweful enough for you (and I can't see why - I run 50 concurrent VM users on less), you can only go to the 2.93 Tigerton as an upgrade. The other CPUs have more horsepower, less torque!
Don't get hung up on processor speed - for 64-bit big cache rules.

I have IBM Intellistation Z

You need a floppydisk including the Driver for the SCSI or Sata drive - Depending which HD You are using.
If the controller is in motherboard You will find the driver from motherboard webpages.
If it's a separate controller card - You will find it from it's web pages.
XP doesn't support too well sata if it's not the XP SP3 version media.
You may need to change the sata to compatibility IDE mode to get it up and running.

My system misses audio drives

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Drivers and a list of Dealers for spare parts, as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

When I power up the

This is one of my favourite and very easy to answer questions.

The CMOS battery is dead OR if the computer has been moved or anyone has been inside then double check that the CMOS clear jumper is in the correct position AND that the battery is seated correctly.

If the jumper is correct and the battery is seated then remove the battery and take it to almost any radio shack, The source or goo watch shop or even walmart for a replacement

TAKE NOTE OF THE POLARITY when removing it
