Leaking..no holes in bucket... sit correctly
From what you have described, it sounds like the tubing that drains water into the bucket is clogged.
To solve the problem, do the following:
1. Turn the Master On/OFF Switch to OFF & Unplug the unit.
2. Remove the bucket from it's holder. At the top of the bucket cavity, you should see a hole or
tubing that drains the water into the bucket.
3. Using an 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO wire coat hangers, though) that is the
appropriately sized to fit into the hole or tubing. Carefully insert the Zip Tie and continue to
push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You must gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend,
until the Zip Tie either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie.
4. Slowly start pulling it back out while rotating it (twisting it). This will break up any clogs. Once
you start nearing the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow.
Following the steps above, should solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.
How do I empty the water tray on a maytag dehumidifier
Put machine on pause, On the front of your machine you'll see a seam that is the separation of the tank, gently put your hands on the side of the machine and you'll see and feel indentations of where you have to gently pull forward until you feel the tank coming off, make sure when you pull it is with equal pressure and you can use your thumbs to hold the machine from rolling when you take the tank off. ( it is a two handed operation), get ready for the tank coming out because depending on the amount of water in it, it may be heavy.
If your still stumped, I guess I can video it being done?? Good luck and let me know how it goes!
