Hi,

This is an indication that the keypad has a short. The keypad control would have to be replaced to remedy this. If you can send me the model and serial number from the tub area just inside the door I can assist with finding the part numbers and advising you how to repair if you wish.

Maytag dishwasher flashes 9 after cycle

Hi,The problem seems to be a poor connection between the ribbon cable from the keypad and the processor board. Turn off the power, remove the back of the door, unscrew and remove the lid on the processor box, push to open the lock on the connector and remove the ribbon cable, clean the end of the cable by light rubbing with a non-abrasive pencil eraser, put the cable back in the connector and lock. Reassemble. The problem is fixed for you.

Burn marks on circuit board

This can happen over time, the connection points get a little resistance build up and discolor from the heat. This resistance comes from the moisture, steam and spills. The protective devices on the board and machine are designed to fail safe.

I would suggest replacing the board after inspecting the wiring harness from the board down through the door and to the motor.

Food residue in glass ware after removing from

Make sure the upper arm is spraying water as it should. If it is the dirt separator may not be working correctly. It is under the lower arm and separates the dirt while the water is being reused to spray during the cycle. It then gets flushed out when the water is pumped out. Post your model number for more help.

My maytag MDBB7100AWQ stops in

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.
Try this above, it fixes just so many problems, do it before, thinking, naww, can't be that? 'cause it can be. try this and it may all go away.

Maytag MDB7100 stops in mid cycle at the same place all the time

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:
Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows:

On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Maytag Dishwasher MDBTT50AWB is not cleaning

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

My jetclean mjd 3000 is

HI. This code is the result of an improper filling cycle. There are several common problem areas list below. I recommend to to check each area listed below for faults.

1. Make certain the water supply valve is turned on. Check the inlet hose for any kinks or bends in the line that could prevent unit from filling properly. Check drain hose for proper installation. If water drains immediately, unit will display the Error Code.

2. Check the water supply valve and make certain that it is turned on and open fully or this code will display.

3. Check the inlet valve filter for buildup of mineral deposits. If the inlet valve filter is clogged it will restrict water flow is restricted into the dishwasher, resulting in the Error. Clean filter with small brush to remove any accumulated mineral deposits that may have accumulated.

4. If inlet hose is kinked, water flow into the dishwasher, is restricted resulting in the Error. Straighten any bends or kinks in the inlet hose. If the drain hose is not installed properly and the water drains out of unit, this could cause premature draining, which results in the Error Code. In this case it will be necessary to reinstall the drain hose according the instructions in the installation guide.

5. If the water pressure is not 20 - 120 psi, water will not fill properly. This will result in the code appearing. If water pressure is too low, it may be necessary to call for service.

6. During winter, parts of the dishwasher that are installed outside may freeze. Melt the frozen part by soaking a towel in warm water and wrapping it around the part. This should allow the dishwasher to operate.

7. If the unit is not leveled properly, the Error may occur. Use a level to check the sides and top of the unit. If the unit is not level, adjust the leveling feet in the front and back. Use the leveling kit packaged with the dishwasher. Check mounting brackets. If one is tightened more than the other, it will offset the cabinet.

NOTE_ IN a severe case, you may need to electronically test the operational value of the inlet valve. In this case, a multimeter will be needed for properly testing the solenoids. Use the procedure below to guide you through the inlet valve electrical testing procedure.(This will be the culprit if all the check points listed above do not fix the issue),

To access the inlet valve remove the lower panel located beneath the door. The panel is usually held in place with two screws either above or below the panel. It may be necessary to first open the door to the dishwasher to reach the screws over the panel, then close the door to remove the panel. The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it. One hose will lead from the valve to the pump/motor assembly in the center of the dishwasher. Check that the hoses are securely connected to the valve and that there are no kinks in the hoses which could restrict water flow. There are two wires (four, if it has two solenoids) connected to the water inlet valve. Label the wires and connections so that you can properly reconnect them later. The wires are connected with slip on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire itself). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced. Use a continuity tester or multimeter to test for continuity. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1. Touch one probe to each terminal. A reading of infinity indicates a bad solenoid that must be replaced. Different brands and models will have various measurements, but the valve should show some resistance if it is functioning properly. If your valve has two solenoids, test the second one in the same way as the first.

Will not drain

Test the pressure switch, blow into the small hose, and use a multimeter to check if switch has continuity.
Remove access panel and get to the drain pump hose to check for a blockage. You will need to disconnect the hose and collect the water.Keep a container ready to collect water when you undo pump hose.If all the rest is OK, test and eventually replace timer board.

WATER IS LEAKING FROM THE BOTTOM. IT'S COMING FROM FROM THE PUMP.

This is repaired by pulling the unit out and working from the rear and underneath, check for the leak, either replace the pump or gasket or hose, depending on where the leak is coming from. You may need some star screwdriver type tool.
