Mouse inside dishwasher
I have an MDBH945AWW.
I FIXED IT! They are getting in thru the water inlet/vent in the lower bottom left of the dishwasher. Here's how we fixed it:
1. Turn off water to machine if possible. Open the door, remove screws on side and top that hold dishwasher in place. Pull the dishwasher out from under the counter. Remove racks from inside.
2. Remove the sound insulation blanket. Mine was a mouse nest so I threw the thing out. Not going to replace it as the noise increase is minimal.
3. On the left side of the tub outside there is a tube that comes from under and is hooked to a small plastic box with an open top. THIS is the point of entry!
4. Poke a long screwdriver or something down into the box and pop the plastic tension prongs free. Reach into the dishwasher and remove the circular plastic grill.
5. Twist the plastic box to the right or left until the tabs line up and it will pop out of the side of the tub. Remove the tube from the box. The box should now be free.
6. Cut a square of 1/4 hardware mesh cloth (flexible metal grid) and cut a hole to fit over the nipple for the tube. Put mesh over the top of the box, secure in place with really heavy duty tape. Something strong like Gorilla Tape or even metal tape for ducts.... conventional duct tape will not hold after a year or so. I taped all around the edges and sealed it down only leaving the top with the mesh exposed.
7. Put the tube back on and then reinstall the box and then the grill.
8. Take this time to SUPER CLEAN the area under and around the dishwasher. Even the outside of the washer. Mice return to the smell of their poop.
9. Put the washer back in and don't forget the screws as well as turning the water back on.
$5 fix or a $500 new machine... you choose!
Oh yeah, and I'm a girl too...

Glasses in upper rack not cleaning
Hi
If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound. If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump.
No water running through the dish washer the
one possibility is the float switch is triggered which is locking up the inlet valve. I am assuming by "no water running through dishwasher" you imply the water is not getting into it during wash cycle.
Refer this
circuit diagram to get an idea of how the parts are wired to the control card.
Hope this helps.
After my dishwasher fills with water, and starts
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you hear a loud hum/buzz sound from the bottom of the unit then it is the motor that is bad and if the hum comes from the control then it is the timer/electronic control that is bad and needs replacement. However, after reading your question I believe it is the motor that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Does not drain completely
Check your sink air-gap and disposal hose. Over time those can get clogged with food.

Hi
When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you'll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages.
If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter hen you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly.
Please post back for any further assistance.
