The sensor is bad that determines the level of paper. You would be looking at around $75-$100 to get it fixed depending on the area of the country you live in. Depending on the age of the printer I would say your best bet is to buy another. I reccomend canon printers. I have one that has been knocked off the table and my 3 year old has stuffed his dinner in it and it still works. After I cleaned it up of course.

The printer will have it's optimum performance when plugged in to an analog signal. MagicJack has digital signal which is very unreliable. Not really recommended to be used as a fax line since transmission signal through it is poor. Remote Fax Error comes up when you have a poor quality of transmission. Also, check if you have assigned it with the correct fax number and a fax name. But I strongly advise you to use analog transmission signal tel line for faxing. Hope I can assist you more on this. 1st You download Printer Driver. Lexmark Printer Driver Free After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then
• Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
• Right click on it and uninstall it.
• After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
• Driver installation Wizard start.
• Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
• Driver will be install.

I cant load my lexmark 2300 onto my new computer with vista windows

You need to replace the cartridge when the printer is ON. When the printer is ON, as soon as you open the front cover to get access to the cartridge, they will be moved to the center of the printer, so that you can replace them.

If you are trying to use the "scan" button on the machine, it will most likely not work because there is no software for the scanner to target.

Try going to your start menu, all programs and select "windows fax and scan" to scan.

I've had the same problem with my Lexmark. You have to load the CD that came with the printer to get the Lexmark Imaging Studio. Then, when you request the scan from the scanner, it downloads the "Application List", which it requires to scan (just the way it was engineered). Sometimes the Application List will download the first time, but I've had to turn the printer off and on and try it 3 times before it downloaded properly. It's kind of a flakey system, compared to some, but works good once you get it going. Once you scan, the program will come up to show it, and from that point on you will be able to subsequently scan from the program screen.

Not to sound demeaning, but did you check to make sure the plastic strip was taken completely off the print head? Also, make sure it's seated correctly and securely. All I can think of right offhand.

There may be debris that is blocking the communication between the cartridge and the printer. Remove the cartridge and unplug the printer from the power supply. Take a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and wipe off the contacts on the cartridge as well as the contacts inside of the printer. Allow both to dry for a few minutes before plugging the printer back in and re-installing the cartridge. This should clear up any miscommunication between the two.

Hello. Yes, you scan documents with your Lexmark X2500 printer. Make sure you already installed the scan software in your computer. If software is not installed yet, run the installation cd again in your computer to install. There's also a User Guide, if you like, that you can download from the Lexmark website to give you some instructions on how to scan. I have a different model Lexmark, but it looks like the same basic printer. You have to pull the whole scan bed up while the machine is one, and the printer cartridges will settle to the middle position for easy access.

Have you changed the ink cartridge? mine started printing out one set of colors, but i changed the cartridge and it worked fine.
