Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Xbox 360 controller right trigger always activates
There are a couple things you should try before buying a new controller. First, make sure that when you start your pc or xbox 360 that you are not pressing the trigger, as this can make it stick while it is on. Next, you can try to plug in/turn on the controller and then plug out/turn off the controller a few times in a row, this may work also. If neither of those work, then you could still try with a different console or pc, and if the problem persists to those, I would think about buying a new controller.
There is no power going in to my wireless
try a different battery pack ??
its often the case that the little prongs (connecting the battery terminals to the controller terminals) move ever so slightly ?
if all fails raise the terminals (with a little screwdriver or tweezers) on the controller (take the battery off obviousley)
Im gonna guess ur using a rechargable battery which often have this problem......easiest way is to put sum batteries in the original back cover/battery holder & try that ??
hope this helps ?? :-)
My bullets in bf3 arnt killing anyone
You may have LAG or Latency issues look at your ping when your in game if its too high your game play will not be as good as others with a faster connection.
My new afterglow controller won't
If by not syncing you mean it flashes the whole ring when you plug the controller in the USB and won't identify? If so I think the problem may be that you have other USB devices plugged in at the same time. Unplug all the USB and plug the controller in by itself. I've had issues with this for awhile myself. I had a bluetooth and another wireless kb/mouse. So I unplugged everything tried it by itself and it seems to identify perfectly. Conclusion: Unplug all the USB devices and plug the Afterglow 360 controller by itself and that should solve the problem. =)
Left trigger not working
your handle probably needs replaced try another to confirm if this dosen't do it the problem will be in the x box
My new *WIRED* Xbox 360 Controller just blinks!!! *HELP*
Wireless:Mostlikey a battery issue or sync issue..Wired:mostlikey a bad cable..Wireless with cable:mostlikey a battery or sync issue or cable..Unknown fact. Controller wires are ment to fail as to make more profits.. How you might ask.. if you have a old wire try stripping off the plastic and the fibermesh wire protecting that four wires are presnt a white and green wires which are for sync and control, and black and red for + and - power imput/output for charging/powering the controler.. What microsoft dosent want you to know is the black and red wires they make 2cm shorter then the green and white.(Note: This has been proven through over 45 wire checks over the past year.) This causes the wires to rather break over a time through any number of ways the wires handled.. or to burn out through a short in the wires.. most of the time frying your controller in the process. Only solution to extend wire lifetime: Hang the wire strait in a vertical line off of something for example a wall or door.. the usb plug is fine but the problem area is between the "knot" and controller mount on the opposite end of the wire. solution #2: Dont buy wires.. battery packs and battery charge stations are cheaper in the end. I cant sprint with my xbox controller help me/
Sometimes junk gets stuck underneath a button. If you take a straw a blow down around the edges of the buttons, it will clear away unwanted material. try it. It might not work, but it's worth a try. Your next option, is to take the control apart, and clean it with alcohol, but be very careful. Just wipe the contact parts. I know how aggravating one button can be. GOOD LUCK.
Xbox 360 analog stick problem.
You could try to disassemble the controller and reseat the stick, but the stick might be faulty. If so, try to look on eBay for a replacement, or at a game repair store, if there is one near you.
Slow Turn
If this is only happening in Halo 3, go to the start-menu and look for profile settings, or check the in-game pause menu ( while playing ) and search for your controller settings. You should see a section that says "Vertical/Horizontal Sensitivity" or something close to that. Change it to a higher setting and you should be able to move your aim/sight faster.
Note: This will not increase how fast you walk/run.
If this does not work, you can attempt to open your controller ( remove batteries first ) and check the joystick for any junk that might be preventing full movement. ( this will void your controller's warranty if it has one )
