the problem with the self clean feature is the oven gets up to 1000 degrees,this can and will over time damage the electronics in the oven,usually it takes out the clock assy. this is where all the oven functions are that control the oven,most likely this is what got damaged,after all the things i've seen working on ovens i will never self clean an oven,i use easy off,if you do use the self clean don't use it near holidays or any family functions,if you take out the clock assy. the day before say thanksgiving and the clock has to be ordered you won't be cooking for that day.next time send the full model number off of stove,usually you open the bottom draw under the oven door,look on the left side or right and you'll see a tag on the frame with model and serial numbers,you need the model number to order parts.good luck with your stove you can go here put your model number in to look up parts https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/search.html?q=DGRSC

Hi Robin Basirico, this looks like an intermittent problem. Somewhere there must be a loose contact I would guess. Be patient, may be the problem never occur again, then you are lucky. But almost for sure, it will return. Then it is easier to locate the source of the problem. Kind regards, Dik

First and foremost electric ranges work with 220 Volts AC Current. That is enough power to make you hair stand up. Rather than doing home repairs with dangerous electronics; I suggest you seek the assistance of a licensed technical repair serviceman.

Sounds like the control panel is bad. Not hard to replace if you are at all handy, but it's a pricey part.

Hi Mary,If the door locked after you started the oven! Press Cancel/Off key to start a latch reset, wait 20-30 seconds and open door, or turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute, then turn the power back on. If the oven has a manual latch handle! Allow the oven to cool, approximately 30-90 minutes, move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door. If the latch arm will not move after cooling to room temperature, or is stuck in between full right and full left positions, schedule service. Is the oven door locked due to power failure during Self-Clean? If the oven door locked due to a power failure during a self cleaning cycle! Select the "Self Clean" option, then select "Cancel". Wait a couple of minutes then try to start the cycle again. If you started the oven clean cycle by mistake! Press Cancel/Off key. The oven will need to cool to approximately 200F(95C) before the oven door will open. Was there an error message! Follow directions in the display, and refer to the Error Code Symptom, or: Reset power to the oven!

• Power the oven down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s) or if you can, unplug the oven for one (1) minute.
• Turn the power back on turning on the circuit breaker(s) or fuse(s) or plugging it back in.
• Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
• Verify the ovens operation.

Is the cleaning cycle still going? If you have a separate circuit breaker in the load center of your house for the range, you could simply turn the range off, set the circuit breaker to off, and then try to open the oven door. When you turn the breaker back on, the oven should behave normally. Do this before attempting moving the range no matter if it is electric or gas - gas lines can break when you move a range, so be prepared to turn off the gas shut off on the supply pipe near the flexible line if it should break, then get a new gas line and install it before turning the gas back on. If you are the least bit unfamiliar or don't feel confident doing this, get someone who is either a professional or someone you know that knows how to address gas appliances to move your range. If your range is electric only, then you will have no worries once you cut off the power and reset the oven to off - then turn the power back on.

That may be something that will only come on when the oven is set to grill.
