Is this unit set up for natural gas or propane? New stoves usually come with ORIFACES for both gasses. They would install between the on/off knob and the burner tube under the stove top. They may be tapped to the under burner area of your stove. If you lift your top stove cover you may find them. If you don't find them, you may need to purchase the correct applications for your stove. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Are you sure you don't have the cord all in a ball or check to make sure your getting gas there.

FROM NATURAL GAS TO LP YOU SHOULD OF HAD TO CHANGE THE POSISTION OF THE ORVICE IN THE REGULATER THAT IS WHY YOU ARN'T GETTING THRU THE REGULATOR CHECK YOUR DIRECTIONS AGAIN SOME TIME YOU HAVE TO THIGHTEN THE NUT ON THE REGULATOR SO IT DISTORTS THE ORFICE TO LP, AND SOME MODELS YOU HAVE TO TURN THE ORFICE OVER. BECAREFUL AND TRY AGAIN

One or more of the ignitor switches has shorted out.
You have 4,one each on the valve stem behind the knobs for each burner.

This sounds like a burner switch.There is one under every knob there are two wires going into them. i think the part number is 7403P367-60.

Took entire cook top apart, dried each of the components then reassembled. I donot recomment this unless you are very handy. Not an easy job but doable. Also

try to dry it out with a hair dryer on low.

Your Maytag authorized dealer can help. Otherwise take the top to a chrome plating service.
