The red lcd panel or the mirror(s) in the red optical path may have broken.

Have you tried turning off the "Auto Keystone" feature? Worked for me.

i have the exact same error with same projector. did you manage to solve this?

my status led blinked red 6 times indicating a "lamp error" which wasn't helpful. i also tried removing and replacing lamp but didn't work.

We experienced the same and needed to replace the bulb.

If you're trying to project video, then the unit needs professional service. If you're trying to project from a computer, you may have a loose display cable, broken pins in one or both ends of the display cable, or broken conductors (wires) within the display cable. The computer sends its image information as a template of RED image components, GREEN image components and BLUE image components with the projector overlays to create the complete image with blended color values. (The computer also sends HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL synchronization signals, but those don'e affect the color content of the projected image.) That's why I'm suspicious of the display cable, conductors or pins.

If they are not physically broken, brake cleaner and cotton wool will get them clean. Don't put them back in the wrong way around!

I suspect the ballast (supply for the HID lamp) has failed due to an expired lamp. Probably not ecconomic to repair.

Incorrect replacement lamp I would think.

Six flashes is lamp error. Either the lamp and/or balast unit has failed.
