I cannot get into admin programming menu. After

although the buttons aren't showing anything they're working. once the correct code is entered (266344) the screen will change.

It usually says release call if you have the handset up, a call on hold, or if your telephone is ringing. If the set is idle and with the handset down enter in feature **266344.

I have a m7324 and

The Norstar phone default ringer volume can be changed to your desired volume level. To reset your own phone ringer volume follow these steps.

1.) Press the FEATURE button ( ) followed by pressing kpasterick.gif then press kp8.gif then press kpzero.gif.

Note: That the phone will now start ringing to give you it's current volume.

2.) Press the Volume Bar ( mvolume.gif ) to then sample lower or higher volume levels.

3.) Once you hear the ring volume you want your telephone to ring with stop changing the volume levels and let the phone reset.

I am using a Nortel

To reset the administrator pasword enter feature 985 press 9, at the password prompt enter 73738767793 (resetsmpwsd) and press ok or #,press yes to reset password. password should be defaulted to 0000. then try Feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your password is 120000.

How do i make all lines ring at certain desks for

Programming2_bing.gif is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt,
press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear only
press the Chng key till it says appear & ring
press next key (lower right arrow)
The display should say line 002: appear only
repeat the procedure the same as line 001 for the remaining ringing lines

press the release key when finished

WHEN I CAN AN EXTENSION A GET A MESSAGE THE THAT

The not in service message is given when there is no telephone attached to the intercom number your trying to call. I'd re-check the intercom number your calling, this can be done by using the button inquiry feature on the set your calling. At the set your calling, press feature *0, then press the intercom button on the lower right hand side of the set. The screen will display the intercom number of the set.

Will not forward calls

To reset your voice mail password, press feature 983
the screen should say log:
enter 1020000 (default password) if you have a 3 digit intercom number, 120000 if you have a 2 digit intercom number
the display should say mbox, AA, and othr above the three soft keys
press the mbox soft key
the screen should say add, del, and chng above the soft keys
press the chng soft key
enter in the mailbox number you wish to reset the password on
press ok
the screen should say reset and next above the soft keys
press the reset soft key
your password will be reset to 0000

press the next key till you see the ext/name info.(about the second or third "next"
press the CHNG key and enter in your first and last name
the # key advances you one space press it twice to enter in the comma between the first and last name.
press the Rls key when finished

Button Programming

It sounds like your service technician changed the Line Name to "dead" to let you & he know that line port was not working. Please check with your service company for further clarification.

Nortel M7324 CAP stops working

The buttons will all have to be reprogrammed. Try this:
Press "Feature * 2", then press the button to be programmed, and enter an extension number. You will have to do this for each button.
Alternatively, you can unplug the phone for 1 minute, and plug it back in. The lights will start to flash on the phone, and stay solid on the KLM. When the lights begin to flash on the KLM, simultaneously press the bottom 2 buttons on the left-side and the bottom 2 buttons on the right-side of the KLM. This will cause each button to light momentarily from the top-left to the bottom-right, and will program the buttons, in ascending order, automatically from the first extension in the system until it uses all available buttons on the KLM.

Norstar phone m7324 1. What is the difference

1. You can name the lines, for example (Line 1, Line 2) - or - (5551234, 5551235). You can also name the sets (phones), so when Joe calls Mary, Joe's phone will display "Calling Mary", and Mary's phone will display "Joe calling".

2. Press the line button for the line in use and the display will show which extension is using that line. There could be a stck button on a phone that is tying up the lines. When you figure out which extension is causing the problem, try unplugging it to see if that clears the problem (it should). Then get the trouoble phone repaired. Good Luck!

Volume

When the handset is lifted, you can use the volume bar to increase/decrease the volume of the handset. If that doe not help, replace the handset or get an amplified handset.
