To chane the name on the sets you'll need to enter telephone programming.
Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number.
Enter extension number you want to change the name on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display say Name.
press the Chng soft key.
use the dial pad to enter the name. advance using the arrow soft key to go to the next letter
ex. Bill = 2,2 -> 4,4,4 -> 5,5,5 -> 5,5,5
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) to enter the name.
Press the release key when finished

Hi. i implore you browse through the menu to get the contacts/phonebook and trust me when you have that in your menu list, your problem is solved. you can just browse through it and get the edit or add plane.

There's a powersupply for that CAP. Often it's in the telecom room. Chances are it's busted or unplugged.

Well you need to have the flash card installed for the system to boot.Question is did you put it in or remove it with the power on?

If you're using newer software on a old cabinet, make sure the cabinet is at least rev2. If it's rev1, you may have to replace the cabinet. Or, get a hold of an older software card. (1.0, or 2.0)

You can try to open your unit and short the condensator (battery 5 volts 1.uf) and restart your system It will flush all memory on your system and it can restart again maybe... If not...The way to go is to do a system startup and try to program the switch again. If that doesn't work, you could try another software card.

On the cross connect do you have a CO connected to that line. That is most likely the cause of no dial tone. If you don not know how to check that call a phone system expert to connect and verify your system.

For external numbers press FEATURE *1, then press the button you want to store the number on, then enter the phone number using the dialpad.
For internal numbers press FEATURE *2, then press the button you want to store the number on, then enter the extension number using the dialpad.
To determine what is currently programmed on a button, press FEATURE *0, then the button to identify and the display will show what feature or autodial number is programmed on the button. If the button is a line button or line pool button, you will not be able to clear it through user level button programming. System level programming must be accessed to change line appearances.

you should be able to dial the voicemal system internally and it will prompt you for your box number and code, or from outside the system there should be a code that will allow you to enter voicemail from the main menu of the auto attendant

It sounds like your in the right area, you just need to go a little farther into that sets programming.

You can keep it at the default password. It will allow you to do everything except remote recording of the main greeting with a default PW.

There is a speaker test you can do. Press the feature button then on the dial pad press 805 followed by the # key or the next key until you see speaker test in the display. Press the test key or the hold button to start the test. You should hear a page tone at maximum volume. Press any button to end the test, the volume will return to its previous level.

The phone is mute by pressing the handsfree/mute button(bottom left button). sometimes the button labels do not match the feature that is programmed for the button. Press feature * 0 and any button to see what feature is programmed on the button.

Programming should be done from the M7310, M7324 or the T7316E set. Administration access code: Feature * * 2 3 6 4 6 which also is Feature * * A D M I N.
If asked for a password enter the same 2 3 6 4 6.

If that doesn't work you may have the newer Compact ICS or the Modulur 0x32 control unit wish will be Feature * * 8 4 6 3 which is T I M E. Password is 2 2 7 4 2 which is B A S I C or A D M I N which is 2 3 6 4 6.
When in programming just press the (next) button until you see what you want to change. Then press (show),then (change) if you want to change it. If you pass it, just press (back)
Example: To change the Time & Date Press (next) until you see Time & Date. Then (show) Then (change) Then (change) again, change it if you need to, Then (next) again until you see what you need to change. For example; only the hour needs to be changed for day light savings time. Just press (next) until you come to the (Hour). Then Change it. Then press release (RLs) when your done. To get out of programming, just press the release button (RLs).
