The leak is most likely coming from the defrost tray below the evaporator coils. A piece of ice or something is preventing the water from draining to the pan below your refrigerator. Unplug and remove the back panel inside the freezer. Any blockage from that tray will cause the water to pool out into the freezer or fresh food section. Thanks, Sea Breeze
Replace the thermostat...I had the same problem...I checked the fan, defrost heater and Adaptive Frost control and could not find anything wrong. Replaced the thermostat and the problem went away.
My Maytag side by side is 7 years old. Bar between fridge and freezer just began getting very, very hot also? What can we do to repair? Does the condenser fan motor need to be replaced?
