check the thin ribbon cables that go from the deflection board to the small signal board they are both right next to each other if those arent seated properly the small signal board will not get any supply voltages from the deflection board

Press menu on the remote then scroll down to setup then enter the setup menu and see if the Auto Convergence feature is still listed or has it disappeared from the setup menu? Reply to this same post and I will assist you with the issue.

Replace the deflection board. You can get deflection boards for that model from www.tvrepairorld.com

You need a component tech like me for this job.

If you know how to solder ,you need to resolder all the pinns on the FBt flyback transfomer on the deflection board which is the bottom left hand side board.Then see what the TV does.
Convergence Kit will not fix this problem, different chassis from other TVs that have convergence ICs. These sets here were RCAs worse design. they made over 27 different Deflection boards and 32 ssb boards they all look alike but connect differently. They had alot of Bad Tubes ,Yokes, FBT
Poor Solder Connection ect...... Back in 2004-2006 these sets were coming in by the semi truck loads with defective parts at the service center. But when these sets are right and have minor problems they are nice. about the power problem Bad Capacitors will cause this CP150 CP120 CP114. CP 150 2200uf 16v use 25v if you see it swollen or vented on Top then replace all 3 caps other 2 are in same circuit 220uf 35v on the deflection board.

A problem in the deflection board. Could be a Cap. Resoldering the deflection board may take care of the problem. You need to call a TV man to do this kind of work.

Ur tv have a dead convergence fuse (FL231) must be replaced near FBT-(Flyback transformer) a big block of plastic with a wire to a HV deflection board the FBT must be also resolders too to restart FBT- HV.U have a solder iron,have a roll of solders,a roll desoldering wick or a desoldering pump.U can do basic soldering works?Yes.U can buy the RCA convergence fuse for the replacement at(FL231) at website like Ebay.com.Or the tvs shops will cost like $300 for parts and labors.Some of these screws are Alan Wrench design screws that hold the back cover RCA tv together.Must used Alan Wrench driver to open it if u plan to fixed it ur self.

One of the most common issues on these models are failing solder connections on the high voltage transformer. If you or someone is comfortable resoldering, this is not a very complex task. The back requires removal of torx type screws, once that is removed the high voltage transformer is located on the board on the left side and it has a thick red wire coming out of it. Getting to the bottom requires taking the board out, but also requires disconnecting connectors and plugs on it and removing a few screws that hold it in. With help you maybe alble to turn the TV on its side to get to the transformer. On the bottom of the transformer there about 12 pins in circular formation that have solder on them. Specifically look at pin 11 as it will most likely have a cracked ring of solder around it. The secret to resoldering is to use solder wick to remove the solder thats on all the pins then resolder with new 60/40 solder. The issue was the original solder is lead free and after some use it develops cracks in it. The 60/40 has lead so this is why its important to remove all of the old solder first. Good luck ; )

That squeal is from a transformer either in the power supply or backlight sections !
There's a good chance you have failing electrolytic capacitors either in the power section or the inverter section or both.
Any caps in these sections that look bulged at the top, or bulged/leaking at the bottom (look for discoloration of the circuit board around the base of the capacitor) need to be replaced.
If you repeatedly turn it off and on, eventually it'll probably stay on, but every time you turn it off, the unit will get harder and harder to start up until one day it just won't.
Sometimes you have to do the opposite to start it up and unplug it for some time and then try again.

If you are handy with a soldering iron and can identify the power supply and/or inverter / FM section for the backlights, an inexpensive handful of capacitors will likely fix you right up.
Match the capacitance on the capacitors. Go over voltage if you can, and still have them fit.
IE - it's not a bad idea to replace a 10V cap with a 16V or 25V or even a 50V, but don't replace a 680uF cap with a 500uF or a 1000uF (unless you are SURE it's only doing supply output ripple filtering,
and even then, you should go OVER, not under the uF rating).

Most of the caps that go are 10V 1000uF or 3300uF.

Yes , you have to use your wires off the old FBT,they twist out.

You should post here pictures of old transformer and point out what wire you want to remove, then I can give you an idea what to do as flyback transformer is not in front of me.

Go to menu then setup see if you have convergence on Menu?
