My Sandisk Clip 4gb player

For this issue, the reason why you're receiving this message is that some of the songs that are loaded on your Sansa is already corrupted and the only way you can resolve this is to format the MP3 player. This is a known issue with this particular player, specially if your combining the MTP mode and the MSC mode. MTP mode is your device will show as a Multimedia device under your computer and allows you syncronize your songs using Windows Media player . MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode lets you drag and drop songs directly to the player under windows explorer just like a flash drive.

You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert your videos (and photos) to a form the Sansa can handle. If you don't have the SMC, you can download the Windows version from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3IPZO6Q0

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. I am not able to

Hi

I can understand your situation. When you say having problem in accessing files from sandisk player. Then first make sure that the device is in MTP or MSC mode. Normally if we want to access the files of MP3 through the computer it advised that it should be in MSC mode. So ensure that its in MSC mode. Then connect it to the computer.

If you want to know how to change the mode to MSC

Press MENU,
Go to SETTINGS
Go to USB MODE
From there you can change from MTP or MSC mode.

Sound only in right ear bud

It happens, just keep trying different head or ear phones till you get the one that will work well(both ears). I have had that kind of challenge before, mind you, the problem is not from the mp3 but from phones.

To update :

Updating the firmware of your Sansa MP3 player is easy, and it will correct problems with the original software, and even add new features. Follow the instructions below to bring your device up to date. If you have any questions about the process, please consult the Sandisk website and support forums for more specific information. Put the player in MSC mode. Go to the settings menu, select the USB submenu, and then select MSC. Some players with early firmwares do not have the USB options in the menu. If this is the case with your device, then there is another way to force it into MSC mode: Put the device in "hold" mode by sliding the hold switch until orange is visible. Next, press and hold the left (rewind) button until the screen changes. Go to the next step.

Plug your Sansa player into your computer and wait. The Firmware updater should launch automatically. Follow the prompts to update your player. Be certain not to unplug your player until the updater is finished. The software will tell you when it is safe to disconnect.

If the above does not work for any reason, there is another way to update the firmware, by manually installing the necessary files. Consult the official support forum for specific instructions for your device. See the link below.

Be sure not to unplug your device while it is being updated. This could permanently ruin it.
