Sandisk m230 MTP DB mismatch...

Here is a link to get the manual:

http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1304

On page 30-31 it explains how to RESET the unit to the factory defaults. If nothing else, I believe that will clear your DB Error.

Sansa m230

When connected to your computer, go to your My Computer folder, and right click on your Mp3 player. You should see "Format Device". This wipes the entire thing. All music will be gone, but it might reset it.

I cant find the songs that im lesttening to on the list

You need to set the properties of your mp3 player to show hidden files. Open your 'my computer' by double clicking on your computer icon. With your player plugged in it should show as a hard drive or a device with removable storage, highlight it by left cliccking it once. Under tools at the top select folder options. In the box that pops up select the view tab. Select the button that says show hidden files and folders and hit apply. That should work if you need any more help please let me know!

Play all doesn't work

yes this is a feature because the mic built into it was designed to leave yourself notes, like mental notes. not neccessarily created to allow you to record music with it. so your play all will not work with your recorded music, it was never intended to do that. however there is a way around this. you can connect the mp3 player to your computer and then go to recorded files, then take that and drag it into your music folder. that should allow you to listen to those recorded files with the play all. if you have any further questions my e-mail address is on my page. do not hesitate to contact me.

Can't delete hidden music.

maybe your mp3 player in infected by a virus, the only thing that you can do is, you need to reformat your mp3 player so that it will be clean again, but you need to sacrifice all of your saved musics. then after doing the formating you need to scan it with an anti-virus program.

I need help with my mp3 it wont let me listen and i already tried to format it and

Your M230 may have encountered a corruption in its Music Database, and may be corrected by formatting and updating the firmware. Try this: Manually switch the player to MSC mode and format through "Disk Management". Here are the steps: Step 1: Locate the "Hold" switch on the side of the M230 and enable it (you should see an "orange-colored" surface when it's enabled) Step 2: Plug the M230 to your computer (recommended Operating System is Windows XP and above) and check Windows Explorer if the player is detected as a "Removable Drive" Step 3: Open "Computer Management" by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon, then selecting "Manage" Step 4: Your "Computer Management" window should be divided into 2 panes. On the left pane, click on "Disk Management" Step 5: On the upper right pane of "Disk Management", you should find the drive letter corresponding to your Sansa M230. The lower section also contains the drive # pertaining to your M230. Right-click on either drive letters pertaining to the M230 and select "Format". Follow the on-screen prompts. Make sure that the "Quick Format" checkbox remains un-checked. Step 6: In general, Disk Management is more the effective tool for formatting your M230 and assuming the format processing completed without any errors, proceed to updating the firmware of your player. Step 7: Use this link to download the Sansa Firmware updater: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 Save this file to your Desktop and run it while your M230 is still plugged in to your PC. Follow the on-screen prompts. Step 8: "Safely remove" your M230 from your PC and -- with a fresh battery -- power on your player. It should boot up normally. I hope this works. The M230 is a great player
