You can if the m240 is set to mass storage, but dont think about using itunes, you'll have to use the finder to drag/drop files into your player.

Delete songs

Your SanDisk Sansa Player does not allow you to delete files from within the player (But the recorded files can be deleted at the player). Instead I recommend that you follow these steps :

When your player is connected to your computer with the USB connector, you can use your computer file browser software to view all files on your player. Your player will appear as Sansa m240. Follow these steps:

1. Use the USB connector cable provided with your player to connect the USB port on the top of your player to an open USB port on your computer. The player will appear as a Windows Portable Device on your computer.

2. Delete your music files to the player with software tools like Rhapsody, Windows Media Player or Napster Client.

3. To use the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client software to delete files to your player please refer to the Windows Media Player, Rhapsody Client or Napster Client help file.

NOTE: While you can store and organize your audio files on your player using folders with names you select, your player will ignore folders and names. Instead, your Sansa player will extract information from each audio file so that you can use the software menu to navigate your files by artist, album title, song title, and other useful criteria.

hope it helps.
Have a nice day!

I am not able to

Please use the software required to upload the files as the sansa will not recognise the normal mode music files unless they are compresssed to the requirement of the ipod.
Go to the link below to download and convert the music files and send them to your sansa.

Hello, I own a sansa

Please follow the steps below...

1. Remove the battery for at least 3 minutes and then put it back in.. be sure it''s fresh and fully charged

2. VERY IMPORTANT...Turn the "Hold button" ON.. (slide it to the right)

3. Now, plug it into the computer, it would be better if you used a USB 2 port that is located on the back of the computer (it''s on the motherboard)
4. Go to "MY Computer" and see if it shows up as a "Removable disk"
5. If it''s there, then reformat it to ...FAT32...not FAT.if you need help with reformatting let me know.
6 Unplug it and let it finalize. Give it lots of time.
7. Return the "Hold button" to off. If this works, it should be like new. Of course, all your media will be gone. If it doesn''t work, oh well...back to the drawing board.

Don't have a software to

Hello Nurock_nu107,

If you are trying to find music online to download, so that you can put them on your mp3 player then you can use company's such as Napster. I can not condone the use of Illegal music sites.

If you are wanting to put the music you already have onto the mp3 player sansa does not give out a special program to do so.

You can use windows media player or a program called winamp (google it if youd like) and you can open them, plug in your mp3 player and it will find the device. You can then drag and drop your music files onto the device as shown on the program.

Your second option is simply opening My Computer, plug in your mp3 player and when windows finds it a new drive will show up on your My Computer screen. This is your mp3 device. You can drag and drop your music files to this drive and it will transfer them to your mp3 player.

If you have any further question's or comment's feel free to post them and I will be of further assistance. Have a good day and thank you for choosing Fixya!
