Hi,
change your modem from PPPOE connection to Bridge mode make a dialup connection to connect internet.

ss 4100 is compatible with any routers wired or wireless... lynksys , belkin , d ling\k etc
just maitain your pppoe through modem and router as a gateway you wont have any problems

Just ignore the AT&T-specific information, the setup is the same for any comms provider. Once you have connected it up, you will need to log in to the router to configure it. You can do this by opening up your web browser and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.0.1

You will then be prompted for your username and password. If you have not previously changed this password then the login details should be the factory default settings.

Grab yourself a new router and start again, they do blow resistors inside very easily

Most cases this is a faulty A/C adapter believe it or not. most cases plugging these in power strips interrupt the flow. You might want to connect adapter direct to wall.

Other then those two things it would be the modem.

Most cases you can pick these up for under $20 from ebay. I would suggest a more stable one like 2wire.

1. try the adapter first
2. plug it direct into a/c outlet and not a strip

In all there should be lan led, dsl led, power led and internet led,
So if dsl and power led is glowing and others not?? than check the lan cable and even check the lan card of ur pc is it enabled or drivers are properly installed and same way try to check the modem configuration??

i have a little problem with my siemens gigaset SE568, here all led lights are glowing except the internet, i checked my net connection with another modem and the result was positive but what is the problem here i can't figure out,please help me,rahat

its very possible you got a bad pad on the circuit board on this modem, the pad is not being pressed down and Tape would sure help this but never long term, /The modem would cost to much to have repaired, I would if i where you is to have the service provider get you a new modem or you can find these cheap on ebay. Its not worth the money to fix as you can get these for under $12 bucks on ebay.

Did you reset this modem by turning it off for a minute and trying it again? If no do so for it make work by this resetting mode
