MC9060 RESET
I can help you with this because I just busted my head over this for the last week. I too bought a used scanner and it was loaded with the target software, which automatically starts up, in full screen mode, and "Always on top", the "Running programs" tab is disabled if you do manage to get into the system settings which is very hard so you can't kill the task.
What I did to solve this:
Connected the scanner to a base station and to my PC via usb, with the device on and booted, go to My computer, you should a "Mobile Device" icon, go in there, I found out the program that automatically starts up is located in the Windows folder, called TGTConfig.exe, it won't let you delete or move it because it is always running, but for some odd reason it will let you rename it, I renamed this file to TGTConfig2.exe, rebooted the device, and voila, the device will look for TGTConfig.exe and not find it and will not be able to start it, and therefore you can utilize the device now.
After that I went to the control panel and removed the Target Software. There is still much to be done to this device before it is usable by me, so please, if you figure anything out beyond this point..share back!!!!
