Hi,
your conflict or problem is with vista drivers.
get the latest updates from M$ for your machine.
Why do people always assume, that the latest is the greatest.
Vista is a pile of unfinished junk.
windows 2000-XP are far superior operating systems.
Vista is unfinished, like most microsoft products.
never get fully tested and debugged, they let the consumer find the floors.

Laptop cannot power on
Determine if it is a bad battery, power cord, or power supply (on the motherboard)remove the battery and try to power on the machine with the power cord plugged in. If it powers on with the battery out, you likely have a bad battery. If not, you could have a bad power brick/cord...if you have a friend with the same type of laptop, or a spare power cord for it...try that...if that doesnt work, you likely have a problem with the power source on the motherboard, or its connection to the motherboard (like a broken solder point...this can happen a lot if the cord does not fit snugly into the power input on the laptop and has been jiggled)...that is the worst case scenario, because generally it means a motherboard replacement, which probably would cost more than a new laptop.
Please.. tell me how to
I'm assuming that this laptop is using Windows, and that the password is to an account on Windows.
At the login screen, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice, and another login screen asking for a username and password should appear. In this box, put "Administrator" for the password, and either insert absolutely nothing, or "Administrator" for the password. I don't remember which works correctly, but one of the two will.
Hi i have a toshiba
Please
follow the diagnosis outlined in this article to check whether the
backlight lamp or the inverter board are the root cause of the problem
or not:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r6430776-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures
If
you connect the external monitor & nothing is displayed on it, then
this means that both the backlight lamp & the inverter board are
fine. The main indicators in these cases are the sound, and the hard
drive LED on the laptop case. If the laptop sounds just like it always
does for a minute or two after being turned on, it means it's going
ahead and booting the operating system, but the video processor or part
of the motherboard circuit for video output has failed. If the laptop
just sits there and beeps when you turn it on, or if you hear the fan
but not the hard drive chuckling with its active LED flashing away, it
means the laptop isn't getting as far as trying to boot the operating
system. While this could be due to any number of hardware problems, the
most common and easiest to
troubleshoot or repair is RAM failure. If
your laptop has two RAM modules installed, try booting with just one
and then the other in the primary slot. If your laptop only has one RAM
module, you might consider buying one online from a site with a good
memory selector, like Crucial.com
