Toshiba can not tipe

Can not type at all? Maybe a virus or infection has hijacked your keyboard.Try booting up in Safe Mode and see if you can type.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot up. Safe Mode will look different to you, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, this is normal.

If you are able to type in safe mode, then turn the computer off and reboot again as if you are going into safe mode, but this time select Safe Mode With Networking option (this will give you internet connectivity). When it boots up open your browser and download and install MalwareBytes and run a Quick Scan.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do not click the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTED RESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine.

How to restore my toshiba a105-s2236 laptop to factory setting with out a disc

If your Toshiba has a Recovery Partition on your disk drive, then you can boot the system and see which function key it says to hit to get into recovery. Some system will have an option to get into recover under the Programs list. Click Start/Programs and see if there is a recovery there. If all fails you will need an Operating System Disc to reload.

Will a laptop work without the cmos battery?

Typically, the solder points on motherboard components are so small that only robots and people with mad skillz and small hands can solder the components onto the motherboard without shorting something out or overheating another adjacent, small component. As to whether the mobo should work without the battery bracket or not, that would likely vary from motherboard to motherboard, and no, it NOT something that is likely to be covered in the motherboard users manual. Only the designers of the motherboard would likely know the answer to that question, and they might not know for sure without trying it (they probably never thought to wonder on that question). It's definitely not *designed* to run without that bracket on there, but you may get lucky and it may work without it. But you probably just ruined your motherboard. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Why is my computer so slow to load anything

Hello

Have your computer always been slow or is it a recent problem?

If it has always been slow, you need to install more ram. Just take your computer to your nearest computer hardware store and they should inform you on what ram you need to buy. They will do it for free.

If this slow pc is a recent problem, you might want to defrag the computer. But this could just as easy be a duplication virus, so it might also help if you update your virus protector and do a full system scan.

My best advice is however to format the computer and install a clean copy of windows.

Hope you can find this helpful.

Kind regards
Andrea

Hi all I am sitting with a problem that seems

Has the laptop been subject to a Bios Update that went wrong?
I would browse toshiba.com and speak to the technical department. I found then extremely helpfull. Unfortunately if it is a Bios issue, a new motherboard from alibaba.com is the answer.
Hope it helps.

Toshiba Satelite A150-S4184,Hasent been used much,It was verry fast, now have internet again and loads very slow and takes long time to load pages,I think auto downloads instales windows 7,What can I

How much memory do you have in your Toshiba Satelite laptop?Windows XP with Service Pack 3 needs a minimum of 1GB but ideally would run better with 2GB.Windows 7 would need the same but there is no auto-update process to go from XP to 7 as this is not allowed - you would have to do a Custom install of Windows 7 which requires a clean install (i.e. format the hard drive and start from scratch). If you are running XP with less than 1GB memory, then you need to check what the maximum memory that the laptop can be upgraded to?The easiest method is to use the Crucial Memory web site System Scanner utility which will detect how much memory is installed and advise how much you can upgrade to according to the options available for the specific make & model of laptop. If the laptop hasn't been turned on or on-line for a long time then you may be using a lot of resources downloading Microsoft critical updates plus updates for other installed programs like iTunes, QuickTime, Java etc.Try downloading and installing a copy of the free Advanced System Care 5 utility then running the Deep Care tools which include System Optimisation and clean-up utilities to improve system performance.
