Toshiba DKT-2010 Corded Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

OK, model on bottom of phone is DKT2010-SD, but I found a little cheat card in a file for a STRATA DK8 & DK16 so I used a combination of things. First pick up handset and then hit intercom button, # 652 (for time or #651 for date) and enter time in HHMMSS (hour, minute, second) format, once complete hit the redial button.

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Hit your main voicemail interrupt greeting by pressing pound enter box 999 enter password usuallu 999 or 999997 but could be anything listen to prompts ti create mail

the correct IP address is not set. Please go to http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/ and obtain an autorized dealer to reprogram set.

You have to contact a dealer at http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/ as this is programmed in the brains of the Toshiba System

Caller ID has to be programmed in the brains of the system not at the telephone level. Go to http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/ to find a certified dealer to turn this on. Then have a button put on your telephone so that you can view caller ID history of calls that have come into your desk if you desire

the night mode message that is being used is the main phone's (phone with lowest Ext. number) night mode message that was customized through it's voice mail.go on the main phone and listen to its voice mail. (voice mail ext. usually 165)continue listening until you hear some options.select the voicemail management optionthen select the change personal greeting optionthen select the after hours greeting optionhope this helps!

Ringing is a system program, not done at user level. However not that hard it is done in program 81 and the manual is here.

IF you know the password for the mailbox then log into the voicemail by dialing the Stratagy access code, after Stratagy answers dial * , then your user ID mailbox number plus #, then your security code plus #. The User Main Menu plays, press 2 to change your greeting, the Select Greeting Menu plays, press the greeting number, the Record Menu plays, press 2 to record your greeting, Record greeting, as soon as you finish press #, the Record Greeting Menu plays, press 1 to review or 2 to re-record. Press 9 to save and return to the Select Greeting Menu and 9 again to return to the User Main Menu, hang up at this point.

The system has timers for things like "No answer transfer timer" and also rules for what it does at that point. (transfer to voice mail box, transfer to voice mail branch, transfer to the operator.. etc..) It can get very complicated. Many Toshiba phone systems need to be programmed from a computer using specific software. If you do not have someone in the company that knows how to make simple changes to the phone system you would need to get a phone system installation company to make the changes.

For some models Does it say something like CF/NA to XXX in the top? If it does press Intercom #603 then the XXX from above press Speed Dial then the number of seconds to wait usually 24 then press redial. If it does not have that displayed it is adjusted through voice mail programming. the admin program and guides for your phone can be found here

The DKT 2020 combines useful features like pooled line group support--allowing you to pick from a "pool" of available outside lines when dialing outside the phone system--and a convenient LCD display for all date, time, and caller ID info with a user-friendliness and a stripped-down interface that even the least tech savvy home phone user can master with little effort.

It is also useful to learn some basic troubleshooting skills so that you can head off any minor problems you encounter with the phones before they become problematic.

Instructions for Troubleshoot No Dial Tone

1. Secure the telephone line from the wall phone jack to the phone input on the DKT 2020. A telephone cable that has come even slightly loose can cause a loss of dial tone, so press the plastic connector on the end of each end of the phone cord until it fits snugly into port.
   
2. Unplug the telephone cord and replace it with a new one to check if the phone cord has simply gone dead. If you now hear a dial tone with new cord, simply continue to use that cord in place of the original one.
   
3. Unplug the telephone cord from the outlet into which it is plugged and plug it into a different one to check for a "dead" telephone outlet. And outlets not giving a dial tone should be examined by your telephone service provider.

what this simply is that your panasonic phone has been over power by power supply what you are to do first of all put off the phone for some time then put it on again after it most has relax it self then apply the below instruction to reprogram the greeting message on your panasonic phone again

Several Panasonic telephones come with a built-in answering machines. You can leave the telephone as is and let your callers hear a message pre-recorded on the device by Panasonic, or you can personalize your phone with your own greeting.

Instructions below.

1. Press "Getting Rec" on the base unit.
   
2. Press "Getting Rec" again within 10 seconds after you hear the pre-recorded message, "To record greeting, press record again."
   
3. Lean in so you are within eight inches of the microphone on the unit, and wait for the long beep.
   
4. Record a personal greeting lasting up to two minutes after you hear the beep.
   
5. Press "Rec Greeting" or "Stop" after you have finished recording your greeting.
   
6. Record your greeting again if the base unit displays an "E" and beeps six times in a row.
   
7. Press "Greeting Check" to hear the greeting you recorded.
