Loud buzzing sound

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; [Exclude the model number], in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

Green light flashes 3 times, this happens five times before the red light flashes briefly once then goes out. I only hear the fan running. No picture or sound.

Look on page 125 on the owners manual for the meaning of the LEDs.

To help people who want to help perhaps you could give more detail. 1. Did it ever produce sound, has it suddenly stopped working 2. Have you tried different inputs for example a blu ray or DVD payer or games console 3.have you disturbed the cabling or changed settings? 4. have you tried looking at the audio menu to check nothing has been changed? 5. Have you tried headphones 6. Have you tried feeding the audio to something external? 7. What were the circumstances leading to the fault?

I changed the lamp in my toshiba and the lamp light stays on but the tv will not come on

can you check that the light is in firm, sometimes when the holder is not pushed in right it will say there is a fault with the light. pull the holder all the way out and look in the hole and check there is nothing in the way. even check that the other connector is in line for when the bulb holder is in place.

Lines across bottom of screen

are they blinking lines or just straight across from one side to the other blinking lines is the dlp chip going ( they cost a bit to replace) no blinking then the mirror could of moved in the back of the tv, happens if the tv is not on level ground. or the dlp board needs adjustment ( happens over time as the plastic moves when hot to cold all the time)

USED SCREEN

you can buy the screen from a tv company repairs and service place. or you can find a dead tv. all the screens on projector tv's are made from the same stuff. what you have to decide is if you want glass or perspex. you can even make your own screen if you wanted a large sheet of perspex and a plastic coating off one way light sheet. the sheets can cost a bit though. most company's just throw away the screens. so you may be luck if you find one in the skip. you can find a 56inch etc just cut it to size of yours.

Red/green lights both blink and

Are the red and green lights blinking at the same rate or not? If the green light is blinking every 3 seconds and the red light is blinking every 1/2 second, the lamp door is not properly secured. If both lights are blinking at 1 second intervals, try replacing the lamp. If a new lamp doesn't solve the problem, the TV needs service.

I hope this helps.

It is as far as the set is concerned, it sees the lamp not on.Most likely cause would be the lamp ballast that drives the lamp.
