I have a 46hm95 tv.

Reports indicate the color wheel is sealed in the light engine and MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE AS A SEPARATE PART.

You can contact either Andrews Electronics (LA and largest OEM parts dealer in USA---some of these sets do not sell it as a part--have to buy the entire light engine which is more than the set is worth as a used set.

Google the model number with color wheel after it and you will see what I am talking about.

If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

When the TV has been powered on long enough for the lamp unit to get hot, it may take several minutes for the picture to appear on-screen
in the following situations:
• When the Quick Restart™ feature is set to OFF and you turn the TV off and then on again within a few minutes.
• If the TV is on when a short-term power failure, power surge, or other similar power failure occurs, such that the TV loses and regains
power within a few minutes.
This is a property of DLP TV lamp technology and is NOT a sign of malfunction.
If this occurs, the green LED on the TV front panel will blink (and the red LED will be lit solid) until the TV is finished restarting the lamp
and the normal picture appears. If BOTH green and red LEDs are blinking at a one-second rate, you will need to turn the TV off and then
on again to restart the lamp.

Toshiba 46HM95-Picture Blinking Green

More than likely, as with almost EVERY 46HM95, it's your light engine or color wheel (same thing) starting to go out. The piece alone will run between $500 and $750.. Install prices depend on where ya go. And don't let the Toshiba rep lie to ya. That person might not have known the problem, but Toshiba as a whole has heard about this problem and known about it. If you've searched the internet for the same problem, you'll see that almost everyone that has bought this TV gets the same response from Toshiba "Never heard of it" or "it's out of warranty, tough luck" I'm surprised there hasn't been a class action lawsuit yet.

When I turn on my tv, 20 seconds later it shuts

hello, If you can turn it back on with the s momentary key or power button:
When it shuts off, do you need to push the power button once or twice to get it back on? Also, does anything else about the picture or sound change as it warms up?
If once, then the controller is shutting the TV down either as a result of a (thermally induced) fault in the controller or it sensing some other problem. Monitoring the voltage on the relay coil (assuming these is one) could help determine what is happening. The controller thinks it is in charge.
If twice, then the power supply is shutting down as the controller still thinks it is on and you are resetting it. A couple of possibilities here would be low voltage or high voltage regulation error (excessive high voltage is sensed and causes shutdown to prevent dangerous X-ray emission). A partially dried up main filter capacitor could also cause a shutdown but there might be other symptoms like hum bars in the picture just before this happened. Clipping a good capacitor across the suspect (with power off!) would confirm or eliminate this possibility.
If it uses a pull-knob (or other hard on/off switch), then this may be like pulling the plug and would reset any abnormal condition. NOTE- It require you opening the back cover of the television. Goodluck

Turn on TV hear a buzzing and then the TV cycles

Hi,If it seems you are experimenting a color wheel problem. The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms. The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises.I found it with complete light engine assembly here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/TOSHIBA-2973026206-p/1160068.htm?Click=48173

I have a 46hm95,have had for 4 yrs replaced bulb 3

No particular reason. There was a class action law suit filed against Toshiba for this. You can do 2 things to lengthen the lamp life though. Go into the TV menu and turn off the quick start feature. You should also switch the lamp to low power mode. Switch it back to high power mode when the picture gets too dark for your viewing pleasure. I hope this was helpful.

A band of color for a picture on my 50H72 toshiba projection tv

The most likely cause of a problem such as described is failure of the "Hyper Module"; this is one of the "stand-up" PCB's on the main signal PCB (which is the one on the right when viewed from back of set). These modules have a history of failure of the multiple electrolytic "surface-mount" capacitors; successful repair of hyper modules usually entails replacing all caps on the board, and often some solder repair as well...the degree of soldering expertise required to adequately service such products will usually preclude all but professional repair

Toshiba 46HM95 Buzzing

I have the same thing, mine is the cooling fan for the lamp. If the sound continues for a short time after you turn off the TV then this is the most likely cause as the cooling fan will continue to run for a short time to cool off the bulb. I have looked into replacing mine, the part runs around $50 but I can't say yet how easy it is to replace yet.

The TV does not work and the red and green light

This could mean your lamp is bad or your lamp timer is max and needs to be reset. Check your manual to see what the blinking lights mean.
