try connecting in clear text first, remove the WEP key from the router and retry.

1. check the power adapter
2. if the power light is not lit you need a new power adapter.

try to update the firmware ...of the switch,

192.168.1.1 is address for default gateway. u can use an address start from 192.168.1.2 till 192.168.1.254 but you cant use 192.168.1.1 as primary address.
this my advice:
if u use some computer connect to routers then set the address start from 192.168.1.2. subnet mask will automatically filled by 255.255.255.0, then fill each computer default gateway by 192.168.1.1.

Go to the manufacturer's webpage - the password may be incorrect for your router. Try another hard reset if the password is confirmed; software is fallible (just look at computers!).

did you removed your router and currently using a modem? if that is the case then the whole User Interface would be different when you open that address 192.168.1.1 because this could be a linksys router's default gateway address and it was removed from your network.
