try first check the sd card. try installing the sd card on other player or computer, check if its not corrupted or damaged, if its ok, try cleaning the copper terminals before re-inserting to the player, if that doesnt work, try resetting the settings of your player, if still doesnt do the job, that only mean that your players card reader module/or terminal is damaged.have repaired by an authorized technician, if the case is that.

I had this same problem.
Go to Setup on the Coby MP3 player.
Go to USB mode
Change to MSC mode if on MTP mode
Change to MTP mode if on MSC Mode.

What I have seen it is should show up under the flash drives. The one thing you can try is going to the coby website and downloading the driver for the player. That should fix that your computer is not finding your player. Hope this helps.

Go to Coby Electronics. Search for your product. If it is more than five minutes old it will not be on the list. It is on the server though. Put in the model number mp-cXX and the manuals are there in pdf form!

these kind of mp3 are completley fine but the company didnt install the v chip to have an upgrade and that what your problem is.

I too, have a MP3 PLAYER that everytime i download some music everytime i do sometimes the music be on there and sometimes it doesn't and do i have to have a USB cord with out downloading

I would not use the sync. I would make a new folder for your choices and put them in the order you want to hear them. Name the folders according to country, hip-hop, rap etc. If you want put the cd into it's own folder. Name the folder the cds shortened name...

right click on computer then
1. click properties
2.hardware
3.device manager
4.universal serial bus controller(open the + sign)
5.click upper one double click
6 go to driver
7.click on the update driver
8. then choose second one (advanced) then next
9.click don't search
10.then next next if it is over
same process with anotherone then restart your computer and enjoy you ipod

Same thing happened to me. Do you have a Mac? That may be the issue, and perhaps they have a patch for it, though I don't know. I have not been able to get through to Coby via phone, so I left a message and e-mailed them. I have a feeling this player may not be as Mac compatible as it claims. The device turns on if I DO NOT have the USB plugged in anywhere. It will not turn on otherwise. ???????

I would think not- These items a judged to be -disposable - like cheap media players and kettles and the like they are I would guess - buy it- break it - bin it

Do you have the DVD player for the system? You connect the DVD player to you TV then connect the surround sound system to the DVD player.

That could be bad soldering on the volume control. Especially if it did once connect moving the control. It's probably broken away from the solder track completely now.
