try using CD-R or CD+R they are diffrent formats its the same for dvds i had that problem on my pc

According to www.dvdrhelp.com that this unit is very picky on what discs it will record on. Look up unit and read the large number of reviews in DVD Recorder section

Try a small sledge hammer for some up close and personal work.

cos when u got it you should have gone back as soon as u opened the box and found out that it was missing.

you can email, phone the people who made it and ask them for replacement ( they might charge u )

OR
buy a all in one remote and u can use it if u can get the codes for it you may not get all the functions with it
as i found out for my dvd recorder

mine was a lighthon and it cant find the codes

As long as the voltage rating is higher, not lower, it is fine, actually better, especially since this seems to be a fairly common problem, the capacitors used may not have a high enough rating to survive transients that may occur. As long as you are replacing them, I would use a higher rating, to make it more robust.

According to www.dvdrhelp.com that -R are not supported for that unit. There are many comments on that unit in the DVD recorder section.

I searched in vain for years for a replacement remote, then a guy at Walmart said the Philips URC SRU3004. It works, I did the code search after and the number of the code is 1906. You have to figure out which buttons work which functions but it does work. I have tried at least a dozen others that didn't.

Offhand, 3 possibilities:

• tray is not really reaching closed position, belt is loose/worn out (most likely), replacement required;
• dirt on the laser/optics, false reading, the CD is thinking it has a CD inserted and when it can not read, it ejects. Clean with a CD disc cleaner (likely);
• virus/malicious software (a possibility), scan/clean.

Double check all you audio cables

try to clean the lens with lens cleaner..if not worked..thenn change the lens of CD rom...

It sounds like you got a bad reciever or the setting on the meuy of it it wrong!

Try tapping lightly on top of unit after hitting the eject button

If it won't play any disc including prerecorded movies, then try cleaning the lens.
