Hi, I have been given a Euro-Pro Ironing Solution

Hi,
I don't know that system, but you're real lucky, that type of irons are fantastic! Most such have something that looks like a big black knob (you can see the same type e.g. on steam cleaners). You screw it counter-clockwise until it opens. Then you fill it up with water through the little hole. That type of valve is the one I have seen the most on pro systems, while my own home type generator iron only has a tank you simply pull off so you can fill it under the faucet. I have no idea how the suction works, except for it being real great as it helps draw the steam through the garment and away, so it gets dry instantly. I'm sure it also allows you to use a lot more steam, e.g. on tough wrinkles...

Why don't you go to the Euro-Pro website, mail them and ask for their help in getting a manual for it? Or maybe you already tried that? If you look around, you might be able to get a downloadable manual from one of the many manual sellers online...

Good luck!

Iron heats up but the water doesn't

Check the solenoid steam valve which is fitted on the steam tank output pipe, there is most likely a small port where some particles have clogged it up. Fill the reservoir with vinegar and water (50-50) and allow it to soak for 24 hours, then reheat and shake vigorously to drain. After you do that, rinse it out and retry

Euro-pro EP1005 iron--iron heats -blower works-but no steam

You may not need a new iron, my wife's iron is doing the same thing. take the top of the ironing board off (you will need a torx t-20 security bit driver), under the tank is a connection that may have rusted out re-connet it and turn the iron on. Once it heats up, check the tank for leaks. The tank may need to be replace as well or try a 5-minute epoxy type glue on the leaks once it has cooled. If the tank leaks you will get not get enlugh pressure building up to get the steam.

Euro Pro 1005 ironing Cover and Part.

Hello, rslarve, Okay, here are a couple of links that should be helpful: Euro Pro Replacement Cover LC and Pad for EP1010 / 1005
This will link you directly to the purchase page for the ironing cover you want. Sorry, but after extensive searching, it's the only one I could find, so I suggest you get two while the getting is good! Customer Support for Sharkvac Products - sharkvac.com
This link will take you to a web page that will allow you to send the manufacturer an email explaining the part you need. Please, before you send the email, try your best to find your manual and see if there is a part number listed for the part you want. If not, and the old part is available (like—if you have a broken one), check it over thoroughly (perhaps using a small flashlight and magnifying glass to make sure you don't miss it) for any numbers that might be stamped, embossed, or etched into it. Even if they are not part numbers, they may help the manufacturer to locate the one you need. No matter what, send them as much information as you possibly can in order to help them be able to help you—the easier you make it on them, the more likely you are to get satisfactory results.  Finally, here is a toll-free number for the manufacturer's tech-support line: the same "homework" applies before you call it: 1-800-798-7398. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time.
I hope this helps! Ken

I have a EURO-PRO X Model EP965 Steam Generator seems to working but steam is not coming our, neither for the iron nor for the brush.

I think you have a tank that is calcified and is not getting enough heat to the water assuming there is enough water in it. If it was blocked it would either cause the relief valve to vent or explode. I would start by cleaning it, my best guess would be to run a few cycles with vinegar in it. This is a mild acid that will dissolve the calcium deposits. Try maybe a 50%-50% with vinegar and water. Be sure the vinegar will not damage the unit, I do not know. How do you open the back plate to access the power connection. On a shark model G1568 iron??

We have a Euro Pro GI472, which kept going off and on, and the problem seemed to be an intermittent connection in the power circuit. If we "fiddled" with the cord, the power light would go off and on. To get the back off, I removed the two screws below the rubber feet, near the identification tag. Then I had to pop the red plastic light lens off the top of the iron. The lens is held by two plastic "claws" one at the top and at the bottom of the lens. Once the lens is out, there is a small Phillips-head screw visible between two light sources. I removed the screw, and that freed the cover, and made it possible to access the wiring. Testing continuity from the wall plug to the two wires inside the iron, and flexing the cord, quickly led to a spot in the cord that was slightly kinked, and that was the location of the fault. Both wires under the insulation were broken. In fact there were small balls of melted copper near the breaks. Then it is a matter of making sure you know which wire of the power cord goes to which spot in the iron (a photo or a sketch will save mistakes when reassembling) cutting out the faulty wire, getting a suitable crimp connector and a wire nut and rewiring the iron.

I love my iron ! How I can use in Israel?

The voltage in Israel is 220 volts. Check the information plate on your iron to see if it will operate on 220 volts. If it will, then you will only need an adapter from the two round pins to a two slot receptacle that you can plug your iron into. If your iron will not use 220 volts then you will need a 220/120 volt transformer with a 1 and one half times larger wattage rating on it than watt rating on your iron. Our iron is 1200 watts. We would need a 2000 watt transformer. On Amazon they cost eighty nine dollars and weigh 29 pounds. And they ship them overseas. Best of Luck

I have a Shark iron model number g1579 an it

1.Turn the temperature dial to a setting compatible with the garment being ironed. Set the iron on its heel upright, and allow the iron to fully heat for two minutes prior to ironing.

2.Hold the iron in a horizontal position and begin to iron the garment. When the iron is turned to a horizontal position, it will automatically produce steam. Turn the steam dial to a setting to produce the desired amount of steam for the garment being ironed.

3.Press the water spray button to shoot a jet of water on the garment to help remove stubborn wrinkles. To produce extra steam when using the steam iron, press the burst-of-steam button to release an extra shot of steam during ironing.

4.Hold the iron in a vertical position to stop producing steam. For vertical steaming from the iron, use the burst-of-steam function.

Using the Burst-of-Steam Feature

1.Place the iron upright on its heel. Preheat the iron for two minutes at the maximum heat setting.

2.Place the garment on a hanger away from other garments, and away from people.

3.Hold the iron about 2 inches from the fabric being steamed, and press the burst-of-steam button, pointing directly to the wrinkles. Steam will exit from the soleplate. Wave or move the steam iron over the garment in areas needing ironing while pressing the burst-of-steam button.

4.Stop the steaming by resting the iron in a vertical position on its heel.

Iron doesnot get hot onlyplatform

Try to open the electric iron and locate the thermostat . Secure the electric iron against any metal object that may cause electric shock or short circuit and plug it to a power source. Slowly adjust the temperature and using an electric tester check the power before the thermostat and after the thermostat. If there is a power before the thermostat and has no power after the thermostat then your problem is the thermostat replace it with a new one.

My shark iron went into

Hello,

There is probably a disconnection inside the iron that's why it won't light up. Usually, when the heating element get's defective, the won't heat.

If the iron has a three pin socket/plug, open the plug and check if the fuse is intact. If the fuse is intact, then it means you will have to disassemble the iron.

Check all the wire connection inside the iron, observe if you will find any disconnection of any kind. There are not much wire inside the iron, so I believe this shouldn't be difficult.

Have the iron checked by disassembling it.

I hope you understand the above......

Good luck.

I have an older model

Pat, it probably has a calcium scale buildup from lack of use. Try filling the reservoir with a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and Water and let it set over night (at east 24 hours). Then turn the iron on to the steam setting and see what happens. If it doesn't produce steam, turn the iron OFF, let it cool and soak for an additional 8 hours. After that, turn it ON, set the steam setting and hopefully it will have unclogged. If hasn't after 32 hours, I don't think it will. Also, you can try cleaning the steam jets on the iron's surface, with a firm tooth brush and the vinegar/water solution.

Hope this helps. Please let me know.
