Did it get put in bobbin winding mode, some how?

Loop and bunching underneath mean top tension is off.... or you've forgotten to put down the presser foot. Tighten top tension a bit and test...

Check the buttonhole switch ,if not there there is a microswitch on the bobbin winder that may be out of adjustment

I did not realize my La Belle sewing maching was really a Singer model. So I am planning to take it to the local Singer repair shop to see if the fly wheel may be repaired in order that my bobbin may wind up properly. Thanks. Love your site and i will keep you informed. Jean

make sure the bobbin winder spindle has been pushed to the rightif you've done that, & it doens't wind the bobbin then the machine will need to be checked

some machine, you have to push the bobbin winder spindle to theright so that it will wind the bobbin, I have to on mine.but if you've already done that then the machine needs to be checkedto see what wrong with the bobbin winder spindle

Hi, your needle is in sideways. This machine is one of the few that has the needle eye facing you. the thread guide & the bobbin spindle need to be check to see if thereis something wrong or just needs to be adjusted

you might want to take the machine in & have it checked at a sewing machine shop

Insert the button into the special button hole foot. put the foot on the machine.Pull down the button hole lever( It's near the presser foot lever towards the back of the machine). Place your needle where you want the button hole to be. Select the button hole pattern and press on the pedal. Watch for the end of the button hole.

have you tried changing the needle?is the needle in backwards?is the needle inserted all the way into the needle holder?clean under needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or loose threaddid you hit something with the needle?

sounds like there something wrong with the computer part of the machineit needs to be serviced
