LG 24 in. LDS 5811ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do I rid our lg dishwasher of foul odors?
if every thing else is working good, try first to clean the screen in the bottom and run a cleaning agent through it with nothing in it.you can find the cleaning agent with the dish washer/laundry soap area in your store (same one used on front loading washers)or run 1 cup of white vinager through it
LG Dishwasher LDS5811ST does not drain last rinse out. LE code displayed. Did the shutoff of power. Most say PCB assembly, some asy control board - ?
The LE error or fault code indicates that the washer motor is either overheating or has lost connection to the motor control circuit board. Turn off the machine for 30 minutes to let the motor cool down. Then, restart the washer. If the code comes back immediately the motor is not likely to be at fault and so you should check the wiring from the motor to the motor control board. Also, check the wiring and condition of the rotor position sensor, also called a HALL sensor. If the code doesn't come back on immediately, but returns after the washer has run for a while, the motor stator may be defective

How do I replace drain hose?
You need to sort out the position of the hose clips that hold on the hose which must be removed so that the hose can be taken out and replaced.
Getting error code lE. Water inlet. I hear water
Sorry I had been out for a while and could not help you as promised. Please accept some tips to check. It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.
Check how to remove the control panel: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/dishwashers/a/3/1287/how-to-replace-a-hotpoint-dishwasher-fascia-p.html
If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If there is low pumping or pressure then the spray arms will not turn around to inject with pressure. If so the pump must be checked for clogging.
Door removal
Open the door and remove the 6 screws that holds the metal door panel. The panel will drop down and you should be able to get to the water valve without having to remove the whole door.Hope this helps.
Dishes are not completely dried when done, and
Are you using rinse aid agent in the rinse aid dispenser?? All manufacturers now require it to properly dry the dishes to meet energy efficiency. Are you making sure that there is hot water at the faucet closest to the dishwasher before turning on the dishwasher?? If you start the dishwasher and it runs cold water, the is a chance for bacteria to build up inside the dishwasher.Hope this helps.
LG LDS5811WW Low pressure out of spray arms
On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.
But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.
If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.
Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?
Good Luck!

LE CODE
This problem started to occur for me about a week ago in about the same way as others have indicated, AND about 16 months beyond the expiration of the warranty. This CANNOT be a concidence. What a tick off! Also, the 800 number "help"line is a joke.At this point I am about ready to file a class action lawsuit, or at the least bad mouth this product to whomever, in or out of the media, will listen. Can I get an AMEN?

My LG dishwasher soap dispenser
Make sure you're not loading the dishwasher with large items close to the soap dispenser. These can block the action of the dispenser door. Also, be sure the water temperature is 140 degrees for the best cleaning efficiency.
Another thing may be that your spray arm jets are clogged.
Depending on the model, the lower spray arm generally has a nut or thumb/butterfly screw (plastic) that you remove and then lift the spray arm off. I always soak mine in hot soapy water and then flush with hot water. If debris such as pieces of paper, bone, peelings are in there, you'll need to take a tweezer or toothpick to remove them from the jets. The upper spray arm usually has the same apparatus and you can follow the same procedure.
The upper spray arm receives water pressure from a tube that runs up the back of the machine on the inside. If the connection has been knocked out of line, the water can't flow through the tube to the spray arm. My kids used to knock ours loose when they loaded the lower shelf. Pull out the top shelf and see if the plastic connectors are in place. If not, snap them back on the shelf supports and this should align the tubes.
One more thing: the bottom of the door..on the INSIDE of the machine. It's amazing how much "gunk" settles and accumulates under there. I use an old toothbrush, moistened in soapy water to scrub the underside of the door. Then pour hot water on the area. Next run a regular cycle with NO items in washer and use 1/2 cup white vinegar...no detergent.
I hope these suggestions help your problem. If so please come back to Fixya and rate my advice!
