"E1" problem

Hi,

I would request you to please check at both ends of the drain hose and confirm that you do nit have a leak. Also, please confirm that water is not leaking directly under the dishwasher.
If you are certain that you do not have a real leak, check the impeller (under the mesh filter in the sump area beneath the lower dish rack) is not damaged and is firmly in place.

The E1 error code is a Leakage Error, detected by the motor spinning faster than it should if the unit is filled with water.

Hope this helps resolve the issue.

God Bless

2- Inspect to see if food debris clog up.
3- Remove it and see if the side labeled "this side up" is really up, if it out of the position then it is a problem.

Dish washer

Don't get an LG! It doesn't wash (even after 2 hours and 15 minutes of trying); it doesn't dry; it uses a lot of water and wattage; and it's tough to get repaired by an "authorized" serviceman. I bought it because it was quiet and capacious, and it is these things. But a Whirlpool at HALF the price does TWICE the cleaning job! I had a Bosch, too, which did a great job, and was quiet, and used no water, but which broke down all the time. Good luck!

1999 Kenmore Microwave not heating at all

Usual fault is the HIGH TENSION FUSE located between the transformer and magnetron in a porcelain holder, you can test it with a multimeter. Fuse is similar to a glass fuse used in cars .
Any other fault probably requires a tech.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Microwaves can hold hold a deadly charge in the capacitor long after disconecting from the power. Either short the capacitor or leave it alone for a week.

LDS 5811ww- permanent draining

Remove the front panel - In the crack where the top and front meet about 2 inches over from each edge there are clips you push in with a putty knife or flat blade screwdriver and the front releases at the top and un hooks from the bottom. Now put washer in the spin cycle. right in front at bottom is the motor and on top of the motor is a silver colored part ( the inverter) look in between the motor and the inverter on the right about 2 inches back - you should see a green light that is flashing ( it may help to darken the room) Tell me how many times it is flashing.

I have attached a diagram of the motor to help.7edbc65.jpg

I get error IE on my LG dishwasher.

IE is inlet error, displayed when "Not reached to the normal water level in spite of 10 min. water supply"

Possible cause:

  • The Water Supply Tap is closed.
  • The Water Supply is shut off.
  • The Inlet Hose is kinked.
  • The Water Pressure is very low.(below 10 psi)
  • Inlet Valve is OK?
  • The filter of Inlet Valve is clogged by impure water.

  • The Impeller of Air Guide is bound.
Remedy:

  • Cut power by tripping circuit breaker or unplugging power cable for ten minutes.
  • Take action on Water Supply device.
  • Measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 )
  • Clean the filter of Inlet Valve.
  • Check the frequency of Inlet Water by the Test Mode.

LG LDS 8511 WW - water leaking from upper right inner door

The new replacement door gasket is slightly thicker than the original and should stop your leakage. It might take you two minutes to change it out if you are taking your time. (ie: on a scale of 1 - 10, this one's a 1.) Old one pulls out, new one pushes in. No tools needed.

Problems with my dishwasher whirlpool gold GU75xtvyo

If you are certain that the power is being delivered into the dishwasher and it is new / under warranty, I recommend that you do not crack open the dishwasher to search for the problem. You might void said warranty.

Contact the service number inside the owners manual and press for on-site resolution.

Door leaks

This dishwasher has a vent at the bottom left of the door that blows out hot moist air during the drying cycle. Are you sure that you are not getting condensation build up from this vented air that is dripping on your floor?

Not cleaning on top rack. Pump, fill tube asm. & spray clean. Has any seen if this issue could be the deverter motor in the pump or the control board?

Just to review, the LG dishwasher family, including the LDS5811 has the Verio motor and the check valve that diverts water from the bottom rack to the top rack.

If the valve is blocked/jammed, this would cause the symptom you describe. The valve is visible from inside the DW after you open it up.

It is also possible that this motor has failed.

Oe error...manual says clogged but cant find clog

It is important to start where the drain hose connects to the drain. Probably connects indirectly to the garbage disposal. Look for blockage there and work your way back to the dishwasher.

IF you can't find a blockage, then it is time to remove your lower spray arm and the approximately 9 screws that secure the filter assembly to the sump floor. Rinse everything that you remove.

Using a flashlight, inspect the entire sump area for debris (watch out for broken glass!) Look closely where the drain pump is located. You will probably find some sort of blockage jamming that pump.

Reassemble and test. It is rare, but an OE error could be created by a failing drain pump motor. But try everything else first.

Good Luck!

LGDishwasher makes grinding noise several times during cycle

Please confirm that you have an LG LDS 5811 dishwasher? Approximately how many years old is the dishwasher?
First things first: regarding the 'crud' Run at least one cycle, with no detergent powder added - and when you go put in the extra water, add up to two cups of vinegar plus more water and let it run until it errors. This will not fix the major problem, but staring with a clean sump area (and keeping it clean) is a good start. FYI: Stop using all gels and tablets, switch to a brand name detergent powder-like Electrosol or Cascade. Always use high quality powder in all dishwashers, especially energy and water conserving DWs like the modern LG models.
Next, given that you are getting an E! code, triple check that you do not have a leak, especially directly under the dishwasher. If not, start at the end of the DW drain hose (does it connect to a sink disposal?) follow it back to the DW. That hose must rise to at least the height of the bottom of the counter top or be connected to an Air Gap valve. If the hose does not have that rise in it, your problem is caused by natural siphoning out of the dishwasher into the drain. Either add an air gap (even if you don;t have a sink disposal) or suspend the hose high from the bottom of the counter.
Regarding the filter (mesh screens) in the sump area, while it may be melted, I doubt that melting was caused by the dishwasher itself, because the heating element is well below the filter.
Pull the lower spray arm up and out. Remove the nine phillips screws that hold the filter down and then pull the filter. Wash out the "self cleaning" filter housing.
The LG replacement part for the upper housing with the mesh screen panels is: FILTER ASSEMBLY, MESH 5231DD1001A I also recommend you replace the filter seal: SEAL 4036DD3001A
Then inspect under the filter in the sump area for any debris. Remove it but watch out for broken glass! Use a flashlight and look real close for anything foreign.
Inspect the Impeller, look for damage and confirm that it spins easily but is securely attached.
Reassemble and test out.
Good Luck!

Water leak at door of dishwasher. LDS 8511 WW

Because this is an LG 8511, it has a Hybrid Drying System that is completely in the door panel. Normaly, when the (dry) air exits this dishwasher, it leaves via a port at the bottom of the door. That system is clearly broken on your unit.
Water is almost certainly entering the internal port in the door that normally only allows moist air. Due to the wiring and other stuff in the door panel that is at risk, it is important to get this unit serviced soon.
Hope that helps. If you have more questions on this topic, please reply.

LD Dishwasher power problem

On the LDS5811 model, I doubt very much that the door switch would cause a full failure.
If you are confident the power is live into the dishwasher, the most common failure with this symptom is a failed controller card (PCB) and will require a service call to LG.

LG dishwasher won't dry

Recommend you confirm that the rinse aid is not empty.
If problem persists and you are not getting an error message, contact LG service and pres them for the retrofit they released for the LDS5811 (and other models) that dramaticly enhances the drying ability. Until it is replaced, be careful because it is possible tht water will leak from the door panel (not directly from inside the diswasher, but through the door panel-based drying system.
Press them for a no charge repair for this problem and be persistant, firm but polite. If the agent is not helpful on their own, request to be "escalated" to his/her manager. Good Luck! and report back what you find. Thanks!

Lg LDS 5811st IE code

With an LG 5811 diswasher, when the IE error code is not caused by kinked hot water hose or blocked screen, the next step is to measure the electric resistance of the Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms)
