there are no parts to fix a cracked screen, the panels are very expensive to replace. you can try vancebaldwin.com and if you decide to trash it, I can give you something for this set!

Probably. Didn't you have a separate remote for the tv? If not, I would suggest that you go to the internet and try to find instructions for reprogramming it if you don't know how. You also could go to WalMart or Home Depot or the like and buy a universal remote.

try to check the capacitor you can trace the wire of the speaker going to the main board.

Which caps did you change? Check the 35v one just below the 2 I think you replaced

If the squeal is heard on all av inputs and normal channels it would suggest a failure of the internal audio amplifier requiring a visit from a techie,try unpuging scarts etc to try and isolate the fault

Replace C112 and C113 1000uf 10v on the power supply board.
Radio Shack should have Capacitors.

You may be having failing DC filter caps in the power supply section. I would leave it unplug until you find out what it is, otherwise it may cause more damages.

you can still get HDTV broadcast, the only difference with the ordinary cables vs. HDMI cable is, the reception on HDMi cable is the best there is.

This problems can not be fix.U have a problems known as screen burn in.This is a Plasma tv right?Common,Kids and people whom like to play video games,pause the game and left it on tv screen for longtimes like about an hour or more.That why u have a permanent screen burn in.Now u have only one choice keep it and used it as is or get rid of the tv.The Screen panel replacement is not an option,because the screen panel replacement will cost the same as a new tv.

Does it eventually turn itself off - or return to normal viewing?
