Polaroid FLM-3732 Television - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Polaroid 3700 wont come on
Check your fuses for starters. If they are blown, replace them. If they blow again, you have a problem in your power supply.

Tv will not even show
Hello,
The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge.
The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board.
I do not think it needs replacement, rather some defective capacitors are causing this issue.
Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others.
The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)
You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes.
What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point).
You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors).
After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored.
Note: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue.
If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.

Asus p4s800-mx motherboard driver
Always
get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your
Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.
If you were to log on to the
manufacturer's
web
site,
usually one is able to download if available, by model
number,
All
available Driver
downloads
as required.
If the driver is not
available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are
installing.
This is the best way of ensuring up to
date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!
I hope this helps.

Cannot control sound volumn on remote control.
This can be due to two reasons
1. it can be a failure of any filter capacitors on the audio section and is not stabilizing the output or the preamp stages.
2. The SIF- sound intermediate frequency is shifted and so does not coincide or align with the video signal. This can be mismatch/mistuning within the circuit or a failure of the processing IC/coils.

RED POWER LIGHT IS ON
R0804-0901 Part number for power supply. Most likely your problem. this is 74.95 from DM Discount merchants. ALSO you may look for swollen capacitors on board and replace as needed. This requires soldering.

My polaroid flm 3732 tv wont turn on. the red
Have you tried the capacitor replacement trick here: http://www.fixya.com/TipsAndTricks/ThreadView.aspx?thid=741402 ? Use the method described (two places - look at both) to open the back of your TV. Look on the upper board (the power supply - where the 110 vac goes) for damaged capacitors as witnessed by their bulging tops. If they look ok and nothing else on the board is obviously damaged, I would go ahead and replace the three capacitors there. Two located near the center top of the board are 1000 micro farad 10 vdc electrolytic and the other right below the first two near the center of the board (a bit larger) is 1000 micro farad 35 vdc. Replace them all with 1000 micro farad 35 vdc (or wvdc) electrolytic caps - you can buy them from Radio Shack for $1.50 or so each. This assumes that your FLM-3732 is similar to the FLM-373B that I have. Good Luck!

I have a Polaroid FLM-373B
That situation clearly indicates that no signal is coming to the set in its present setting. Have you checked to make sure that the tv's input is set on the right input setting. Mine always defaults to "Antenna" which drives me nuts cause I get that big blue screen with "no signal". It seems to do that at the slightest provocation, too. After 5 years, I still have to think twice before checking it. If that is not it, make sure that the cables are plugged in. If that doesn't fix it try another type of input such as HDMI or S video, composite, etc - one that you are not using. Don't forget to switch the input to it. Good luck!

My sound does not work but I can plug a speaker
Your speaker might have bit the dust, but it is more likely that the TV thinks that you are using another sound system. Do you have something else hooked up to it as well? I would try to disconnect everything but the tv input to see. If you get no sound with everything else disconnected, the tv's speakers are probably disconnected somehow. Is there one of your menu settings that shuts off the set's speakers?

What is the part number
If you still are having problems with your TV after trying the following repair page: electrolytic capacitors in the power supply are probably failing:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r741402-polaroid_flm_373b_lcd_tv_black_screen Then you should just write the TV off because another 37" Toshiba or Panasonic is less than $600 and that part is expensive! The part number might be down in the posts for this problem as well.
