Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner board for the replacement.The Tuner board,the board that recieve the tv broscasting signal.

Chances are your television is still set up for cable. A simple setting needs to be adjusted to enable broadcast tv reception. Turn on your tv and open the on-screen menu. Look for something labeled "Input Select". It might be listed under something like "Tuner Options". Somewhere in there, there should be a switch that will switch the tv from "CATV" (Cable) to "TV" or "BROADCAST" (Ordinary Tuner Mode)

Your power supply board needs to be REPAIRED not REPLACED, replacing the board will just make the problem happen again in two years or less, if you can use a screwdriver you can send me the board and I will repair it for less than it would cost you to do it yourself ($50) with the correct components. usually the first thing to check is your connections to the tv , if good you may have a power supply or backlighting problem. if connections are good, unplug it first ofr a few minutes the plug it in and try it again. if bad call for service.

Often when using a Sky box, one doesn't use the channel tuning feature of the Polaroid HDTV. Often one connects the Sky box to a component video input, and the Sky box does the tuning.

If the DVD doesn't start when you place it in the player, look for the Play button on the remote control. There may be a TV/DVD switch on the remote that would need to be changed to DVD.

problem with the main board. the control box is good.

rescan it. ya just hit rescan. depends on your signal.

considering there isn't much to go by, I can only imagine you need to replace the lamp. Take a few to open the panel on your tv and check your lamp. "use rubber gloves"

The voltage change may have affected your t.v transformer. Get it replaced. It is a small and cheap device. When having one from the market, go for the best one, or else the new one too may go out soon. This may happen again if you are not cautious. Unplug the t.v every time after use and don't let it work when there is voltage fluctuations or lightning.

The only way you can do this is if where you are going there is available a box or adapter for Pal to NTSC--I have talked to several people who had this problem and this is the only solution.

It is available in some places but not others.

ASPECT Cycles through Wide mode settings:
NORMAL/FULL/WIDE/ZOOM.
PIP Turns PIP/POP on and off.

try to use a connton swab that you remove some of the cotton off of (so that it fits in the heqad phone jack) then use this to clean out the head phoen jack.

i have had this happen on a cell phone before.

my poloriod got smashed with a hammer, so if you decide you can't/don't want to get this fixed let me know i need a good lcd.

You, re right, the problem is most likely in a power supply. I have a similar set myself, had the same issue.
You can't get a separate supply for the set, only whole system module, what plugs in into the main unit. Too bad, it cost around $450 new, so look at discount used parts on line and find a used working power supply.

Ur LCD inverter board is dead.Must replaced that board to get picture back.The board it uaslly a long board.Tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com for part.

Most likely defective capacitors in the power supply.

This seems to be an occurring problem with this model.
It will need to get in for repair. My thoughts is either an issue with the main power supply not sending the appropriate voltage to the audio board or the audio board itself where the Amplifiers have gone bad. Probably going to be a $100 to 200 repair cost at a good TV Service Shop.
