Polaroid FLU-2632 channel searching

Often when using a Sky box, one doesn't use the channel tuning feature of the Polaroid HDTV. Often one connects the Sky box to a component video input, and the Sky box does the tuning.

I hope that helps.

No Sound

1) First check the mute.
2) Make sure there aren’t headphones plugged in, that will disable the speakers.
3) Check the audio setup
4) Check your Volume lock

Changing Volume Lock
The remote comes preset to allow independent volume control of each selected device (Global Volume Unlock).
However, you may change the Volume Lock setting to Global Volume Lock so that one device’s volume will
control volume in all other modes. After that, you can perform Individual Volume Unlock on a selected device to
set its volume control for independent operation or Global Volume Unlock to remove all volume locking.
Locking Volume Control to One Mode (Global Volume Lock)
1. Press and hold SET until the red LED blinks twice; then release.
2. Enter 9-9-3 and then press the mode key for the device you want to control volume (for example, TV).
The LED blinks twice. Now when you press VOL+, VOL-, or Mute, the selected device (for example,
TV) will control the volume regardless of the current mode.
Unlocking All Volume Control (Restoring Global Unlock)
1. Press and hold SET until the red LED blinks twice; then release.
2. Enter 9-9-3 and then press VOL+. The LED blinks four times. Volume is now
independently controlled for all programmed devices.
Unlocking a Single Device’s Volume Control
1. Press a device key (TV, VCR/DVD, CBL/ SAT, or AUX).
2. Press and hold SET until the red LED blinks twice; then release.
3. Enter 9-9-3 and then press VOL-. The LED blinks four times. Volume is now
independently controlled for the selected

No Picture in my 1 Year Old Polaroid FLM-2632 LCD TV

had the same problem. if you take out the power supply in the back of your tv ( easy to get to just a few screws in back to get to the box then a few more to get into it and some quick disconnects) you can take it to a local tv repair shop and they can remove the two green capacitors in the upper left of the circuite panel and place in 16v ones that can actually handle the power needed. do not try to do it yourself although the new capacitors only cost 2 dollars one wrong move and you burn the wires on the board. the repair man only charged me 54 dollars well worth it considering polaroid wanted to charge me 500 to fix a 2 dollar part that should have been recalled. they are in the busines to make money but if any of us did what they did wede be considerd con artist. final note since ive replaced the capacitors my tvs worked better than when i bought it

Buzz from back of the tv

It is likely that one of the transfomers is buzzing due to heat and laminations or wire is ringing.
It should not cause any issue except annoy you. it must be replaced. or glued back down which is usually very difficult as they are wrapped and/or sealed.
Only way to find out is to open the unit and trace it down.
If it is dust buildup then you should be hearing a crackling. zzzztt sound.

Nosignal

you need an outdoor antennae or a cable conection. Mke shure that your connecting cables are in good condition. also check the ("F" fitting, that is the end of the cable that screws on to the back of the tv, sometimes the center wire gets bent and it dosen go into the center conection.

No sound

Are you using a set of sound wires in addition to the HDMI cable? - HDMI only carries the HD Video and no audio, so you still need either a digital or audio cable to pass the audio to the set.

No Power

I have the same TV and it did the same thing. I called Polaroid's customer support line and they were very helpful. They sent in a work order to the local servicer in my area. I then got the number of the place (VIEW ELECTRONICS) and called them a few days later. They said that it was a very common problem and that they knew exactly what part it needed and ordered it. At the moment, i am waiting for the part to arrive and when it does i can just take it into the store and it will take them about 20 minutes to install and that should be it. I'm not sure what caused it but hopefully this part will fix it. Hope this helped...

Bad Cable Input

Try using your RCA imput to see how the picture looks compared to the tuner picture,is possible your tuner imput is bad, make sure the conector is not loose, the overall picture should look different but not fuzzy all over, using a dvd picture thru the aux (rca)imput should show you the difference. If the conector is loose only it could be repaired but if it is solid the tuner might be bad and it will need to be replaced along with any board it might be mounted to.Let us know how it goes or if you need more information.
