Polaroid FLM-3232 Television - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My Polaroid FLM-3232 TV Menu Window keeps popping
Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Polaroid FLM 3732 doesn't read a signal when all other tv do.
You could do 2 things:You can buy the big chrome control box for about $160 or you could take the control box apart and replace the main board for alot less money.Usually there are 2 boards inside the power and inverter are on the same board then the main board with all the RCA jackson it is the one to replace.

What is a converter box for tv
A digital television adapter (DTA), or digital-to-analog converter [set-top box], or commonly known as a converter box, it is a television tuner that receives a digital television (DTV) transmission, and converts the digital signal into an analog signal that can be received and displayed on an analog television set. It may refer to over-the-air broadcast television signals received by an television antenna, or to cable TV systems which switched to digital cable. It normally does not refer to satellite TV, which has always required a set-top box either to operate the big satellite dish, or to be the integrated receiver/decoder (IRD) in the case of direct-broadcast satellites (DBS).In North America, these ATSC tuner boxes convert from ATSC to NTSC, while in most of Europe and other places such as Australia, they convert from Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) to PAL. Because the DTV transition did nothing to reduce the number of broadcast television system standards (and in fact further balkanized it), and due to varying frequency allocations and bandplans, there are many other combinations specific to other countries.

I'm trying to hook up an indoor antenna to my polaroid flm-3232 do I need a digital converter box or does the tv have the necessary components?
You have an analog TV, meaning that the tuner in your TV is analog only. You must buy a digital converter to see broadcast Digital TV via your external antenna and it will be attached to the antenna input jack or other jack depending on how it comes out of the converter. One bit of advice, there is no such thing as a "digital" antenna, they are all analog. Even a 50 year old, outside antenna aerial that you see out in the countryside will pick up the new Digital Broadcasts to be converted by a Digital Converter and displayed on a 50 year old TV.

Getting no sound
I had the same problem with my Polaroid FLM-3232 after having it for about 5 years the sound was just gone one day. I ended up purchasing a vizio sound bar and I have been pleased with the results. The sound bar is much better quality than the TV's audio ever had by itself.

few and far between as some of these sets were never meant to be fixed----Try three things: 1 is Ebay has literallly thousands of boards for sale used. 2. Google the model number with "parts". Look at places like ShopJimmy.com which number 2 may lead you to.Good hunting---Google with key words.

Polaroid film-4234bh picture intermittent
If its a LCD set you might want to Google the model number and see what it uses for back lights inside---if they are out or very dim this could be the issue--some sets have them and some do not.If this one has them and they are dim/not lit either the voltage source going to them is gone or the lights themselves are bad.

Hello! The quick fix is: go to "setup" portion of menu and change "digital SPDIF stream out" you will have a 3 options: off, PCM, Dolby Digital. The one of those should clear you sound. If not, you may need to replace(rebuild) TV's main board. I will be able to help you with that.Good luck,Alex.

I have a Polariod FLM-3232 with a pshchodelic
See this website for detailed info: http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com/2010/09/how-to-test-power-supply-r0804-0901.htmlRemove power board. Using 2 12v car batteries hooked in series, temporarily apply 24v to the CN2 and CN3 connectors. If tv operates fine, then the power board needs to be rebuilt. If problem persists, then the power board is good and the main board has some bad capacitors on it.
