I have an longtime problem with my flm 3232

Hello, you probably already have gotten this resolved, but I do have some answers to your post. Any cable that you have running from TV1 to the TV2 will nor give you a true HD picture. You could get a CAT5 cable with HDMI ends, but the longer the cable, the less true HD you have. The best resolution to this is to get an additional receiver, or to just stick with the SD picture. If you have any more questions, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected], or you can find us on Twitter!

TV has no sound. The screen is blue until I select

Blue screen means that no signal is received - the tv starts on an open AV entry or the image processor is incapable of detecting it. Then, for some unknown reason, the PIP is activated, the image on the right is the secondary one - the one without the sound.
First of all you should try to flip it = to put the image on the left - there is a button just for that right on the remote. Then press the PIP button to get out of it.
If you can't do that then the controller - part on the mainboard processor - is damaged and it can't be fixed. You will have to replace the entire mainboard and that will be expensive - around $250.
Because of the poor quality of this tv i don't think that it's worth fixing it, it will be cheaper in the end just to get a new one.

Menu closes when trying to scroll to HDTV to scan the channels: Wondering if you ever had a reply to this issue as I've been online reading several forums and still haven't found an answer. I've seen this topic a few times on this site and all of them have had "0" solutions/comments. Very frustrating.

Polariod FLM 3232 no sound

The audio circuit is located on the main board. You might be able to find one on ebay or shopjimmy.com. Just search your model number and look for main board. Just look at the pic and make sure it looks like yours before buying one.

The most common problem for no audio on this set has been a 10ohm resistor located on the top right corner of this board that fails. The location number is r385, which will be stamped on the board beside the resistor. If it's open(bad), you could change it and save a lot of money.

From power on, until about 20 minutes warm up,

There are several weak capacitors in your signal board. You may need to replace as many as 15 or 20 capacitors. You will need purchase a cap checker. Many cases say to replace the signal board. But with great caution and patience a TV tech can do this for you! The power supply board will need one or two capacitors checked and replaced. As for the signal board, yes this is where the problem lies.

My polaroid tv 3200 has no sound..the mute is

Hi: Yoiu will have to check the power supply for bad capacitors, there are two of them that needs replacing, the values are 1000uf rated at 10volts replace them with 100uf rated at 16 volts, you will have to know how to solder and unsolder componets to replace them yourself. Look for puffy tops on the caps as these are the ones that need replacing.

Polaroid flm3232. No audio

2 possible causes and you must do a simple test for that - connect an player to an AV entry and see if you get sound.
1 - you don't get sound - in that case the problem is hardware: the audio amplifier chip has failed and will have to be replaced; this requires a very careful desoldering of the chip and its replacement with an identical one that will be very hard to find - it's better to leave that to a pro.
2 - you get sound - that means that the channel format and the audio settings got messed up; since i don't know what you did to get them this way and troubleshooting blindly is a sure way to get the situation worse, the easiest way is to do a full channel rescan.

I have a Polaroid FLM323B

Sounds like a power surge related problem. My money would be on the Power supply board itself. In cases like these it might be a good idea to replace the entire board itself (costs about 100$) instead of going component by component coz off late the protection circuitry have been getting weaker and as a result a lot of components are getting fried by surges. Last week I have worked on a set with similar problem that had the following fried components blown 10A fuse, 2 Voltage , 2 10KOhm resistors , Regulator ICs, 2 Circuit protectors along with a few capacitors of varying values of capacitance!

Our tv is without sound.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, make sure the MUTE function is not activated, then check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks (Red and White) to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.
