There is a static sound on my 42" Polaroid 7 years old. can it be repaired ?

Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Poloriod tlx-04244b sceen will not come on

if their is a sound with totally black screen the cause would be either inverter board get bad or the screen back light was damaged. if just a white screen, you can noticed by looking at the dark room. then the cause would be bad t-con board. just let me know if it can help you can ask further solution thanks for consulting through fixya.

42 inch screen

Did you measure diagonally from corner to corner? This is usually how all manufacturers quote screen size. Hope this helps

I have a polaroid TLX-04240B . \r\nScreen is

Black screen canbe caused by bad T-CON board, main board, 24vdc power supply, backlight inverter board. Please my guide get more ideas on what to look for inside.

First, look at the screen in darkened room to see if you can see any slight glow from the screen, if it does, then the problem can be the T-CON (not getting the 12vdc) or the main logic board not feeding the signals to the T-CON board. if not, next place to check will be the power supply module, make sure it has 24vdc which is required by the backlight inverter to work, the reason for not having 24vdc can be from bad DC filter caps (leaking/bulging top, high ESR) or short circuits in the inverter board which will cause the 24vdc supply to go into shutdown mode, so you may have to disconnect the power cable that feed the inverter board to see if the 24vdc will work without the inverter board hookup, you will need to apply about 3~4 amp of load to the 24vdc to make sure it can handle that. There are fuses on the backlight inverter boards also. So there is some troubleshooting you will have to do to find out the causes of the problem you are having. I am attempting to attach a Samsung Sound Bar to

Connect the audio out RCA jacks (white and red) on the TV to the white and red RCA input jacks on the sound bar for analog stereo sound or connect the black digital audio output jack (typically optical) on the TV rear panel to the sound bar's optical digital audio input jack for surround sound. Use an optical cable. There may be some user settings on the TV for audio.

Tv makes a loud buzzing sound

This sound could be a component on the circuit board coming loose and vibrating. Usually, this is an electrolytic capacitor. It could be some dust or foreign object has gotten close to the power supply and is causing a slight current leakage. You should have it checked out. If you get in there yourself, make sure you unplug the unit first. On the older tube tv's this sound would have been high voltage leaking from the anode wire.

Loud pop from tv,now tv will not turn on

You may have two bad capacitors...I think they may be 10 or 16volts at 1000MFs. They will be bulged..replace and see if it will work!

High pitch noise for the first 15min it is on.

Power supply will be the first place to start, look for bad caps with bulging tops, check for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24vdc at the power supply output connectors.

I have a polaroid tv tlx-04240b

I have the same model, same problem. It doesn't need an inverter board. If its the same problem as mine was, it is a capacitor. I replaced the capacitor and it has worked fine since. It is a 220uf 450v capacitor on the right side of the top board. Its black and about 1.25" in diameter. It cost me $26.00, much better than the $250-$400 for someone to replace the whole board. Just check capacitor, if its domed or bubbled on top, it is bad. I have pics if you need [email protected]. Or more questions.
