Tascam dpo2 not burning a cd
You need to create a master first before you can burn it to a CD.
To create a master you'll need to set an 'OUT' point, then enter mastering mode (by pressing the master key so that it flashes) and then record your master by holding record and pressing play. The master recording stops automatically when it reaches the out point (the in point is always zero). The steps for creating a master are outlined on page 27 of the manual. Setting the in and out points can be found on page 30 and burning the master to CD is on page 67.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Recently purchased a tascam dp01fx,
Hello
Your Tascam porta sudio from Teac, won't go bad. You haven't specifed here about the purchase, whether you have purchased it new or on other ways. Anyway, this set is capable of displaying possible faults to indicate us; what about fault condition it faces during operation. It will be displayed at its screen. Please indicate me, what it display when you try to operate it. OK.
If anyone can help me out, please do!
Alternatively you could load your stereo instrumental track into a wav editor, then export each stereo track as a separate mono wav file which you can transfer via usb into you DP-01 and then on you DP-01 import those wav files into two separate tracks which you can pan hard left and hard right so they are in stereo.
Just got a Tascam DP-01
If the track can be armed for recording, it won't show anything until you arm that track. Otherwise, check to see if you can hear anything on the main output. If so, then it's just the lights, which will not affect functionality.
Hope that helps! Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at

Hello :
I have a Tascam
Hi!
This error will only dis appear when you replace the ac power adapter that comes with it.
Or you better check if the output voltage and the amperes are not dropping.
Your power adapter should out with 12 volts and 2.5 amps. Less of this value means its dropping and its not stable..
You can use a multitester to check if the output voltage and amperes did not meet the requirements.
Hope it helps!

How do i convert my
I;m ahving this same problem myself. After spending the last six months recording my album and remixing again and again, I finally registered with CDbaby and their upload page is not reading my songs from my usb storage card. Never had this problem before. Every mix Ive burned down and added to the media player on my main computer, converted to the flash drive numerous times and was always able to send songs to friends via email, and onto my myspace. But for some reason CDbaby wont read my songs. ??? and the media player on my mini laptop won't sync from te flaash card either. I dont know what the hell the problem is, but numerous aggravcasions over thge last 6 months have stemmed from mastering issues on the Tascam. An ex rooommate had sonic foundry which I must say produced better sound results and less conversion issues
Low volume from passive mics
Hi, first of all,you need to troubleshoot your connecting cables, and also check the Mic cable that your using for the Mic (shure SM-58s).
I would advice that if your using the Mic for studio recording,i think to get a good job done, if you can afford it,you go for a condenser and a good soundcard,i think that will do,and also get good cables for connections.
Hope it helped..
Thanks for using fixya....
Tascam DP-02 cd player...
Hi,
You cannot rip a CD directly into the DP-02 using the unit's CD drive.
Your choices for doing what you want are:
1.) Rip the CD into .wav files onto your PC using ripper of your choice. Then you'll have to edit the resulting .wav file using a program like 'Audacity' (which is a free one) and convert the stereo wav files into 2 mono wav files. You'll have to save the mono files with dos 8.3 filenames and then import them into the DP02 using the instructions for importing wav files in the manual. To preserve the stereo, import each mono wav file to a separate adjacent track on the DP02 and then pan one left and one right.
2.) You could play the CD on a stereo and connect the stereo outs to the two inputs on the DP02 to record the CD track. You'll need patch cords which are RCA (mini phono 1/8" jack) to regular phono (1/4") to do this.
Cheers,

I am trying to add songs to my computer then
Well, when the computer asks you to save it, open it, or close, go to 'Save', then find your flash drive on your 'My computer'.
Tell it to save, then you should be good, unless your computer's having mental issues.
