Frigidaire FGF337EC Stainless Steel Gas Kitchen Range Questions & Answers
My burners don't spark right and don't turn on
the stand alone gas cookers have a battery for the spark. its usually below the oven somewhere just above the floor.. it could be under a cover or something..
but as you have not given a model number it will be hard to know exactally where
The electric clock display and oven control will
This indicates the ERC Electronic Range Control has failed. First check the key pad. Press each button one at a time. You should feel or hear a click and feel the retraction. If any button is not working the problem is likely in the key pad. If you locate the tech sheet ( somewhere on the stove, usually in the control panel) it may have a ohm check that can be done on the key pad to rule out the key pad. If all seems good the control is at fault. Check to see if you have power going into the control. If you do and nothing is working the control board or ERC needs to be replaced. Here is a link for checking and replacing an oven control. If you need diagrams and illustrations of your specific model enter your model their. All parts come with installation instructions.
I have a 30" stainless steel cand black gas range ...
Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.
The oven turns on but the burners don't. already
The only way the burners could not receive gas is if the lock-out is activiated (also known as: child safe mode) . Most people (when the burners do not work) say that they here the gas hissing from the burner but it will not light, hiwever you say that no gas is hissing from the burners, therefore must be the lock-out. To unlock, look in your operation manual because there are a few different ways to do this.
One common way is to hold a particular button for 3 full seconds; some models have a button with a lock picture, others tell you to hold the stop/clear button or the light button for the 3 seconds. If this does not activate the burners, you have a malfunction of the lock-out valve or the control board or a wire connection gone bad between these items, and this will require a techperson to trouble shoot it. GOODLUCK, MACGIVOR
OVEN WILL NOT STAY LIT
sounds like you have faulty ignitors . replace the ignitors and you should be good to go. if you post your model # i can get you a part #
Glass door [email protected]
First remove the door. (on this model I think you open the door part way and pull up to remove it from the hinge) Set the door so that the handle and glass are facing down. Remove the four screws from the bottom and two screws from the top the whole door should just pull apart after that.
NOTE: Make sure you look at where all the trim and stuff is sitting before taking it apart.
Good Luck
Oven do work
might be the thermal coupler or the dial itself
you will need an appliance repairman to check this out to determine the exact cause

Change over to propane gas
There is an orifice on top of the safety valve that goes into the burner. Turn that orifice clockwise to adjust the flame down. Will need to turn it almost all the way down until it stops for lp.
Can you give me easy install directions?
are yours and hers both freestanding? (do they both have a drawer at the bottom?) if so measure the width to see if hers will fit. if so, turn off the circuit breaker to your stove. remove the drawer of your stove. do you see the plug? unplug it. now just slide it out toward you being careful not to damage the floor. installation opposite of removal.
Hope this helps
How do I turn the volume down or turn off the beep from my Frigidaire Gallery 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range when the oven reaches its intended temperature?
As copied from the manual.
Setting a silent control panel
When choosing a function, a beep will be heard each time a pad is pressed. If desired, the control can be programmed for silent operation. Press and hold (start/time) . After 7 seconds, the control will beep once. This will block the controls from sounding when a pad is pressed. To return the sound, press and hold (start/time) again for 7 seconds until the control beeps once
NOTE!
The OVEN indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat. This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature. When the preheat indicator light turns OFF, your oven is ready.
