Try this:

Under the menu options, there's Menu Lock. Switch it to "On". It worked for me.
My menu button wasn't working, so to access the menu, I had to hold down the arrow up button and push the arrow down button till I got to the Menu Lock Option.

For ARCHIVAL quality scans, there is no comparison. The Nikon wins hands-down. For making small prints and web sharing, either will work fine.

Now thats as daft as the last premium problem I answered.

 

Seriously though, have you got another firewire device that you could plug your port into to prove the port. Or have you another port to plug your device into to prove the failure point one way or another? 

turn on the screen and push record.. the red botten on the back.. but you have to use the screen.. you can not film by using veiw finder

Have you tried contacting Nikon's Technical Support department. They're excellent.

Removed the outer cover - remove the screws on back and bottom then slide it off. Re-latch the tray cover.

Can you see the scanner in Device Manager? Click on Start, right click on My Computer, then choose Properties... . Click on the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. Look for any ?'s or !'s that you see. Or, check for the scanner under Imaging Devices. Do you at least see the scanner device? If you do, then you've at least narrowed it down to perhaps an application issue.

What error messages do you get when you try to scan?

That means that the USB turns off when you go to hibernate. This means that the USB port is configured to turn off when you go into hibernate to save power but does not come on. This can be chagned in the control panel then power options or power management. So that I can give you more specific instructions kindly provide me with the type of windows that you are using as well as the brand and model of your computer.

This can be a software issue , so better check if there's any software update go ahead update the software of this and that should fix it..

Some printing is get struck while printing please try with cancel that printing otherwise restart both the system and printer it will solve your problem

Which version of your operating system are you running. I most cases, removing and re-installing the drivers will fix this issue

When you have no driver for this Windows version and the former did not work, even in compatibility mode, then try the free program IrfanView. In the File menu first go to Select scanner source. VueScan is also a program supporting many scanners but not free.
