Most dishwasher have a check valve at the pump to prevent water from backing into the dishwasher. If the pump is electric there is a rubber flat that may be gone or not working properly. If that is the case you need to replace the pump. If the pump is part of the motor assembly then the pump and motor will need to be replaced. One other thing to make sure of is that you have the drain hose looped to the top od the dishwasher and then to the disposal conection. Its called a drain loop and all dishwashers should have it. Good Luck
what this simply mean is that there has been a lost or pastier connection on the power distributor from the panel to the control unit .what you are to do to solve this problem is to unscrew the washer from the screws then trace the wires (main power supply) down to the panel then also trace it to the door unit to see if there is any form of loose of wire if so it then need a fix up but if the answer is no then locate the wire down to the door switch unit but it all look to be okey then it then you will have to replace the hole of the control unit of the washer . please note this if you can not carry out this assignment the you will have to invite a technician to visit the washer in order to avoid more damage on the washing system.

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote that will help you with your dishwasher not draining
problem...
Sounds like you have a blockage in your drain pipe. run a plumbing snake down the drain and see if you can clear it, otherwise, i'd be looking for a plumber
Please check the part of hose which is in contact with panel. You'll be able to see a clamp, press the top of the clamp inwards and pull out the clip using a screwdriver. Next, you'll need to remove the two screws at the bottom of the front panel and then push down on the front panel to remove it. Your hose will be in view. Please check the diagram for your refrence.
hi. The sensore key that control the door of dish washer may be show that the door is open & it doesent let that water come to machine . you should checke the key
It sounds like it may be a heater problem or motor start problem. If you will post the complete model number from the decal, I may be able to look up something on it.
You should be able to get warranty service even without the proof of purchase as long as the manufacturing date proves it is within the warranty period. The date code is in the serial number.
If you will post it also I can look it up and tell you when it was built.
Thanks/Mike
Does the power go off in your house from time to time? Have you tried to do a 2-hr delay during the day so you can watch it? Keep checking every 15 min. or so to see approx. when it shuts off.
if all you have is soap residue here are some things you need to do to correct this,,,have unit been cleaned out lately..no, 12 to 16 onces of bleach on regular cycle..may have to bleach unit twice,,,
the dishwashing detergent may be old [expired],check,,overloading to many dishes,,wash water is not hot enough,,one of these is your problem,,check each and you will be ok,,and use jet dry with every wash...
It depends on the kind of spots. Hard water spots are just the result of minerals that were left behind when the water evaporated. Food spots can be the result of food that was allowed to dry before putting the dishes in the dishwasher. In general, a water softener can be quite helpful in reducing hard water spots, and can also help the dishwasher perform better. Note too that recent changes in the formulation of dishwashing products has been a problem for people who do not have water softeners. Government mandates have recently restricted addition of phosphates in dishwashing products in many states. Phosphates were quite beneficial to the dishwashing process. A water softener may be your best answer.
Based on the symptoms you described, it's likely that there is an issue with the heating element or thermostat in your Frigidaire dishwasher. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the heating element: The heating element is responsible for heating the water during the wash cycle and drying the dishes at the end of the cycle. If the element is faulty, the dishwasher may stop mid-cycle and display the flashing lights you described. Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the heating element. If there is no continuity, the heating element needs to be replaced.
Check the thermostat: The thermostat is a safety device that prevents the dishwasher from overheating. If the thermostat is faulty, it may shut off the heating element prematurely, causing the dishwasher to stop mid-cycle. Test the thermostat using a multimeter. If it's not functioning properly, it needs to be replaced.
Check the control board: If the heating element and thermostat are functioning properly, there may be an issue with the dishwasher's control board. A faulty control board can cause various issues, including the flashing lights you described. If this is the case, you may need to replace the control board.
If you're not comfortable performing these troubleshooting steps yourself, it's best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue.
They should not wobble a lot. They have to be able to spin, but should not have a lot of lateral movement. See if you can remove the spray arm and clean out all the spray jets. If some are blocked at one side it causes the arm to not spin true and flat. It spin with one side high and one side low. The other problem may be incorrect loading of dishes.

Hello Megan Quintas,
I have had the bottoms of the Frigidaire DISHWASHER rotted out AND their center-shaft NEVER LOST IT'S vertical alignment...
So my personal opinion...
You are good once you replace your defective spray arm..
Put your model+make+spray+arm
or better yet the ORIGINAL PART NUMBER to get three estimates...
Good luck, happy hunting!!

The Problem: There is a membrane switch failure, meaning one of the keys is throwing the wrong signal. This error can also be caused by a stuck key or a key pressed for longer than one minute.
The Fix: Check the keys on the control panel and the wiring between the keypad and main control board. If you cannot identify and fix the issue, replace the keypad. If the error persists, replacing the main control board should fix the issue.
Sounds just like my Whirlpool dishwasher. If you have the documentation that came with it look through it for a "reset" method to re-calibrate the dirt sensor in the unit. If you don't have the owners manual try to "Google" an owners manual or a "technicians" manual to find a reset or a re-calibrate procedure. Mine consisted of pressing certain control buttons at the same time, after which the unit ran through a calibration cycle that took about as long as a normal wash, and it has worked great ever since.
Please read!! This happened to us and we paid money to have repair men come look and they didn't solve the problem. Your door latch is being caught on the bottom of your counter top. Pull your dishwasher out a half an inch and try again. It fixed our problem when we had this happen!
