Dishwasher does not start, all lights are off and does not respond to any command
Hello alexmn26 - I understand you said there are no lights on, however try unplugging the unit or flipping the household breaker off for two minutes to reset. Is there power to the unit? I suggest touching each button individually on keypad, does any lights turn on or does display change? If not, I would recommend contacting a professional because the unit may possibly have a defective keypad.
Frigidaire model # GLD 2250 RD 85. Won't fill with water
see this causes and fix it. God bless you
If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:Water-inlet valveFloat switchWater-inlet valveThe water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.Float switchThe float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it. To determine if the float switch has failed, watch the part testing video at the bottom of this page.
DISH WASHER STARTED BY IT SELF
If the resetting at the household circuit breaker has not proven to be successful, then you would need to contact a professional to have the control board and panel diagnosed for repairs.
Why is the top sprayer is not rotating?
This dishwasher uses a pulsating mechanism to push water to each of the spary arms forcing water alternatingly in each arm. This ensures a strong spray is maintained for cleaning. The pulsating action is obtained through a ball (see item 58 in this
diagram). It is possilble that this ball is either stuck or is damaged and needs to be replaced.
My dishwsaher wont drain water
Two things to consider....clean water or
dirty water?
Clean water usually indicates the fill valve
is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water
in all the time = new fill valve time!!
Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher
problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the
sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing
up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose.
The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem
indicates a slow house drain for that sink.
The dishwasher drain line should be clamped
to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain
plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.
