The water reservoir no longer being emptied by the pump.

I have the same exact problem suddenly. Unit is only 11 months old and not used that often. Bucket fills up and unit will switch to fan only. Drain hose (small black one) is not clogged but bucket keeps filling up. Never had to empty the bucket until yesterday, now I did it four times in one day (so far). Did you ever find a fix?

Water leaking out of frigidaire

First, have you drained the tank recently. If not, the warning light or auto shutoff failed and the tank may be overflowing. Worse case scenario is the that the tank is dirty and is not allowing the coils to cool and the dripping water you see is from the cooling coils. Since the tank is not removable, it's very difficult, at best to clean the tank.

If you drain the tank and before reinserting the drain plug, try to get about 1/2 teaspoon of bleach in the drain hole. followed by 2 cups of water. Of course you'll have to use a funnel of sort to do this. Reinstall the drain plug and move the unit around so the water and bleach will slosh around. Then run the unit until the bucket is near full again and drain it thoroughly. Look at the color of water draining out, for an indication that there is dirty water. That will be a good indication, that some cleaning of the tank has taken place.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Air Conditioner is extremely loud

Usually when air conditioners are loud the only cause is the fan inside the unit. Usually when the fan begins to age as a result of continuous use the fan engine undergoes wear and tear and therefore begins to make terrible noises. Usually i advice you get the fan changed or oiled if it still continues to make loud disturbing noises. Then you can order a replacement fan for the unit.
The fan is the only part of the unit capable of making noise and also happens to be the component which is responsible for circulating the cool air distributed.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Hello, I need the hose to

impreston - with out the following parts , you really don't have "just the air conditioner."

1- Flexible Exhaust Hose
2- Hose Adapters
1- Sliding Window Kit
1-Foam Window Seal
1-Remote Control

The drain hose is something you supply. A garden hose, no longer than 5 feet will do if you want it to be a continusos drain, rather than drain into the water collectiong bucket. But, without the first 4 items lister above, you won't be able to operate the unit.

Here is a link that may be of some help to you, since you don't have an Owner's Manual.

You will beed to contact Frigidaire (1 -800-374-4432 ) for the parts you're missing.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Our brand new Frigidaire portable air conditioner

Was it new out of the box or did you buy it as an open box? Is it more of a musty smell or more of a rotting smell? Does the compressor stay on when you turn it on, or is it cycling on and off? Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.

The full bucket light is

Hi,

If the full bucket light is on and no water is draining, check and clean filter. This can cause your problem

P1 means Defrosting: the unit will go into Defrost mode periodically to ensure that the parts are working at the right operating temperature. It should be in Defrost (P1) mode for only a brief period of time. If the unit is in Defrost (P1) mode continuously for a couple of hours (or more), then you should call service man for further assistance.

Thanks for contacting Fixya.

We bought this portable air

Hi.

Check the air filter, it must be cleaned periodically. Instructions to clean the filter are detailed in the owners manual.

Also ensure that the 5 ft exhaust hose is clean and well connected

The problem is likely the air filter.

Here a manual: Portable Air Conditioner

Red bucket full light stays on.

you need to check the float switch which sets just above,or in. the bucket, it could just be stuck or jammed it has to be able to move up and down to sense the water level.
There will be one that senses the bucket is in place that you can trick while you figure out and play with the float switch.

Red bucket full light stays on.

If the bucket is full then the pump should be running, if the pump is not running it is a faulty pump motor, a faulty control board, a faulty level switch for the pump motor or the water level alarm float switch.

Noise

Hello. Try to determine where the rattling is coming from. If it is a loose grate, attach it with some construction adhesive. If it is a loose fan blade you may have to replace the fan. Joe
