Place the open end into a suitable drain making sure there are no kinks in the hose. Hello Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you! If you are getting an error code P1 on your Frigidaire air conditioner, normally it indicates that the bottom tray is full. Carefully remove your air conditioner to a drain location and remove the bottom drain plug and allow the water drain. Then restart your appliance and P1 symbol should disappear after you have let your appliance run. However, if the error code continues, at this point, I would recommend reaching out to a professional to proceed further. - Z

Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual unit replacement. Is your appliance still in warranty? if the sensors are okay, it might be the compressor overheating, my portable ac (moretti elite ac) is also behaving the same, especially when i turn the fan to max. the compressor shuts down about 7 mins and turns on again in about 5 mins, now i found out when i turn to medium or low the compressor runs normally. i think when on medium or low setting some of the cool air directs/channels to the compressor thus cooling it more.

Hi Kathleen King - Typically when the error code P1 displays on panel it indicates that the unit has a sensor error. I would recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the unit.

On Mine I have a small spout on the back of the unit near the very bottom. There is a rubber stop that you pull out. BUT make sure the unit is outside or like I did...rolled the unit to my top stair then placed a large pan on the first step down to catch the water.
