Ho to turn off the timer on a frigidare airconditioner
Good Afternoon Friend, thank you for your post!
I know you would are seeking information on how to turn off the timer on your Frigidaire air conditioner. In order to provide you the correct instructions, I would need your model number please. The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located behind the front grill by the air outlet or on the side of the cabinet. Other possible locations are on the front edge of the chassis base or behind the dial plate of the control panel. Thank you! - Z

Why compressor loud?
Good Afternoon Friend,
I understand that the compressor is loud on your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAH106N1. Today's high efficient compressors may have a high pitched chatter during the cooling cycle. This is just the way they were designed. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully.
-Best Regards-

Frigidaire fra18emu2 unit won't power on
Good Morning Marty, thank you for allowing me to assist you.
Here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may help you resolve this
issue:
·
First, confirm that the unit has power to it.
·
Check the power cord connection to the wall outlet is secure.
·
Make sure that the house circuit breaker has not tripped.
·
Try testing the air conditioner again. Make sure the unit is turned off,
Press the TEST button, you will notice a clicking noise as the BUTTON pops out.
Then press the RESET button. Again, you will notice a click as the button
engages, now turn unit on. If the LCDI plug does not reset the cord may be
damaged.
·
The "Cool" circuit has an automatic 3-minute compressor time
delayed start if the unit is turned off and on quickly. This prevents
overheating of the compressor and possible circuit breaker tripping. And the
fan will continue to run during this time.
·
If the unit has been turned off and on rapidly or if the
thermostat was changed to a lower number and then immediately turned back to a
higher number the compressor may not start. You must turn the unit off and wait
a minimum of 3 minutes for the unit to equalize before restarting.
If these assessment measures
prove to be ineffective, I would strongly suggest contacting an authorized
service technician who would be better able to assist you in the diagnosis and
repair of your unit. You can often locate an experienced technician in your
area by going to the manufacturer website.

How to fix a broken fan
Hi Britney, thank you for your question! This particular part
is commonly replaced or repaired by experienced service technicians. If your
appliance is still in warranty, you may want to check with the manufacturer to
determine if there are any professionals in your area who will not only be able
to ensure this is the appropriate fix, but may actually save you some cost and
to prevent future issues.
When I push reset button all lights come on for about 2 seconds and trips reset breaker in plug.
Hi chip faust - When was the last time the filter was clean? Restricted air flow from dirty air filter can caused air conditioner to turn on and off rapidly. Make sure there is nothing blocking the airflow to the unit like drapes, blinds, furniture, etc which could restrict air distribution. When was the last time you cleaned the outside condenser coils? Confirm that the condenser coil is clean and not restricted by any trees, bushes, etc. Verify that the plug is not damaged and try resetting the unit. If any of these suggestions prove to be ineffective, then the unit could possibly have faulty PC power board, faulty compressor or power supply. Connect with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

My a/c unit keeps tripping
Hi,
There is nothing you can do to fix it... the compressor is trying to start and cannot so it trips the plug. The plug trips to protect the house circuit from being overloaded and causing a fire.
Getting the compressor replaced is cost prohibitive, it is cheaper to buy a new unit.

Apparently, the unit is not recognizing the filter change. So, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. Wait 15 minutes and plug it back in. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Hopefully, during that 15 minute timeout, the electronics reset themselves and reverted back to the original factory settings and the change filter light is now, OFF.
Hope this helps you.

Possible that the processor has hung and so you need to remove power for some time to help it reset. If this wont solve then remove the program controller unit and check the +5 on the processor. Check the circuits and see if there is any fault on the power supply .

Removal of front cover, so
On my air conditioner the filter slides out from the top of the air intake grill. It looks like part of the grill but look closely you should see the seam across the top of the grill. You don't have to take the front grill off.

I have a frigidaire window ac. THe compressor
If it cools properly, it is not the thermistor. It most likely is the thermostat. Turn the knob to the warmest temperature and see if it shuts off. Still no? Then you can open up the control box. (DANGER--line voltage--can shock you) . Unplug the unit, open up the control box, take one of the wires(either one) off of the thermostat, tape it securely and isolated. If the compressor does not run now, then the thermostat is bad.
