Mine is doing the same but it's very moldy and dirty. It worked well when we used it for the first month when we moved into our Gma's house. She left the unit. It's old yes but it worked fine before. Why is this happening? I'm going to clean it, but I have NO IDEA HOW TO GET IT OUT OF ITS CASE! HELP

did you clean it with water? They don't mix. Use a hairdryer to dry thoroughly.

Is this an electric unit or does it run on fuel?

thats normal its showing ambient when you lower it the number will change to the setting and then will go back to show what the ambient temp as the room gets cooler the temp number will go down and shut off at set temp

Make sure that the cooling coils are clean. Also that the cooling fans are working. It may have lost it's treon and it is time to buy a new one.

Could have clipped the low voltage wire outside with a weed wacker, could have blown out the run capacitor or lost a major component! If the unit is buzzing when you turn it on but nothing's running (compressor or fan)then you have a failed run capacitor! The list of things it could be are endless without more info

I understand that you are getting an "EC" error code on your Frigidaire air conditioner. However, it appears "EC" is an invalid error code. It is possible that the error code is missing characters? I show that the error code "ES" or "CS" is valid. In the meantime, I suggest resetting your air conditioner. You can do this by flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. with a meter you will need to verify motor is getting required voltage (high and low)Yes, its likely the motor but, do you put one in to see it still doesnt work?

if both are running you may be low on frreon, inspect for leaks before recharging.

Do you have 240 volts at the outlet behind the stove? Should have a double throw breaker at your panel. Make sure both breakers are resetting. If that checks out then it sounds like the power dump may have gotten the control board on the stove and will have to be replaced. There is a small possibility that there may be a fuse on the board. All stoves are different.

First thing to try is turning off the power to the machine for a minute and then turn it back on, if that does not fix it then electronics have a brain problem. I have noticed that appliances with electronic panel controls are having many problems, my washing machine electronic control panel is bonkers but never had problems with the old mechanical controls. In order to fix mine I would have to order the whole panel as you cannot replace parts, I'm sure you unit is the same.
