There are no drain holes
No! The new units use the condisation that forms in to the pan to cool the coils. It keeps the unit running more efficent.

I have a goldstar air
The problem you're having can be the result of 2 tings.
1. The drain hole in the drip pan under the unit is clogged. The hole should be located near the rear of
the unit. It can be hard to find at times, as the clog will bled in with the hole.
2. The rear of the unit does not have enough downward tilt. Which allows the collected water to flow to
the drain hole. The general rule of thumb is 1/4" to 1/2" downward tilt at the rear of the unit.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Identifying specs of blown transformer on PCB
I have the same problem, with the same transformer. Did you ever find the specs?
I was thinking of buying the Frigidaire board, connecting to line voltage and measure output voltage.

I turn off the a/c
The Master ON/OFF Switch either needs cleaning or replacing. I'd try cleaning it first with electrical contact cleaner. Be sure the ON/Off Switch is in the OFF position, before you unplug the unit, to take the face off to clean the switch & it's contacts.
Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

How to remove the front panel holding the air
We have a FAC127P1A and if you gently pull the lower cover by holding each side where there is an indentation it will lower so you can get to the filter. Then either replace or wash the filter. We have another model, FAA087P7A1, and we were able to pull the cover down and lift up slightly and remove the cover and wash to remove the collection of dust, etc.
On this latter model there is a collection of dust, etc. in the area where the cooling is blown into the room that I would like to know how to remove for cleaning. I feel it is unhealthy the way it is now and would like to clean it before removing for the season. I know I could use q-tips or a small piece of cloth to clean but that is pain staking.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Drainage occurs near the front
The A/C unit should be tilted slightly to the rear and this will allow the water to leak to the outside of the window, you may have to drill a small hole in the case to drain if there is no pre-existing hole.

Leaking from a/c
Check the air filter. If it is dirty, clean it. If the coil (aluminum fins) behind the filter are dirty, brush them off with a soft broom, being careful not to flaten the fins. If it is leaking inside and you see water on the coil, let it completely thaw before turning it on.
Another thing to check is the drain. Water (humidity) from your room is condensed on the inside coil and flows to the outside through a drain, located in the pan, under the coil. If there is no ice, but the drain pan is full of water, located the drain and clear the blockage. I have used a flexible drinking straw to get into the drain hole and then just blow it out. Remember, you don't want to drink that stuff, blow, don't ****!
